The UserCfg.opt file in my MSFS2020 last line is: InstalledPackagesPath "C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages"

And YES that folder location exists

As @Cpt_Piettsuggests, this support issue really doesn't belong here so if you wish to pursue this further we'll do it by message or head on over to my github here and raise an issue from there, noting I am about to be invaded by guests for the next three days so I will not be able to invest much more time in this for now.

One final suggestion before I close. Try renaming the MSFS 2020 UserCfg.opt file to something else, run the 0.4.4.6 installer which now shouldn't find MSFS 2020 and will hopefully install it for 2024 for you. After you have run the installer, rename your renamed UserCfg.opt back to what it was and MSFS 2020 should be good to go, albeit without AutoFPS working for it.

If that doesn't work, message or github as mentioned above.

You should be able to run the same installer again and be presented with a Remove option.

Regardless, having kayjay's app installed only impacts my version if you try to run them both at the same time, otherwise my app doesn't care, including the installer.

That is correct. I was able to run the kayJay Installer again and than had the option to uninstall. However it change nothing. I still can not install your version without the error message.

I was able to get AutoFPS to work. I only found that my overall performance of MSFS2024 while flying IFR with the A350 is great and smooth, but the Sim movement when i pan around or move around the cockpit isnt. It stutters sometimes for a second. I was hoping that AutoFPS can fix that.

A stutter this long is beyond repair by AutoFPS. Best take it up with the A350 Dev.

Hi folks. I am new to AutoFPS and I have it pretty much set up. When I watched some videos about it, every time I saw the AutoFPS screen in the video, just above the expert options the display showed some in-sim parameter values (i.e. VR DX12, etc.). When I look at my app window, it says 'If you can't see Sim Values. wait until memory scanning is finished'. Anyone know what that means? The app has been up and running for a long time, and I have a flight loaded, although still on the ground.

Thoughts? I wasn't sure how to reach out to the developer as I could not find a Discord for him.

Thanks

One of the most useful apps for MSFS, by far.

I just wish, and I know the story, I could replace the icon of the app when It's being minimized to tray. It hits home with me 😞

That message is for kayjay's AutoFPS which is no longer being developed and does not work with MSFS 2024 SU1. If you wish to use a compatible version, try mine here.

Looks like the latest Lossless Scaling beta broke the LSFG x2, x3, x4 recognition again.  They also added adaptive frame gen which may present a whole other setting that may be needed.

Is there an exe.xml for fs24 where I can add the autofps app so it launches with the game/sim?

The installer creates one if it doesn't already exist.

Currently adaptive frame gen is recognized as LSFG X1 and so I have set FPS Cap to 30 where previously that would have been 60 using LSFG X2.  Everything seems to be functioning just fine when I have AFG set to 60 in LS.  This will also be the same for someone who wants to set FPS Cap to 60 and then set AFG to 144 in LS for example.

So what seems to be working is setting the FPS Cap to the "base" framerate, in my case 30.    What might get interesting is using AFG with an uncapped sim FPS.
