I thought we would get a beta last month. At this rate it's looking like March, 2024

Already released then? 😆

Does one presume 12.1 refers to a release date December the 1st? Seems that is the schedule.

Not that I am overly concerned - the program achieves its objective already - to provide a acceptable representation of the real world and aviation. Scenery is not bad just needs tidying up, default in most places is accurate and realistically plausible - thats fine its not the real world. Flight modelling - goes with the aircraft concerned - so good as you want bad as you want. I know it has a rich development culture and well there must be a dollar or two because we have more high level aircraft to engage with than they do at MSFS - simple fact!  All the Boeings, Airbuses, Embraers, Bombadiers, McDonnell Douglas, Beech, Cessna, Piper and so onto General Aviation. I am actually spoilt for choice and selection of very high quality simulator models and renditions of a variety of aircraft from the early years of flight until today!

So yeah I can wait until December for some overhaul,

God no I want it NOW !

Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20

The SIM is thoroughly enjoyable as it is so I'm going to keep flying it and will let the update come when it does

It'll come much, much sooner than Dec 1st.

Do I know that for sure?

Yes.

😉

If 12.1 arrival is imminent, it's great time to announce that the development of 12.2 has started!!!😂

Oh I knew that. cant be too far away since someone has started showing up on other forum and not saying anything.

ironcally ms2020 has an ALT ENTER issue like xp12. Looks like asobo will fix it quite quickly with the next update.

surely LR they are going to fix it in 12.1, but i highly doubt it.

What's the Alt Enter issue?

If this is isolated to Windows (going to full screen), I doubt it's going to get anything done to it, because X-Plane is multi platform.  If you want full screen, select it in the settings.

That and if that is the issue at hand, XP allows users to create a (simpler if desired) keybind for fullscreen mode. Not ironically.

Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...

ive brought this up before Goran its an old issue, the sim freezes when changing window size or going from fullscreen to windowed.

Yes you can assign it to a joystick button (like I do)  or a key, but it freezes.

see page 3, a more tech savvy guy than me has pin pointed what he thinks is the issue.

Standard procedure is submitting a bug report with a log file. If that’s done, then they’ll fix it.
