Switch to external view and back into the cockpit and it's gone.

Surely that's not a fix though...? Is this a known bug? I never had it happen in V1. Again, another bug since updating (when I didn't have any in V1).

It's a workaround, not a fix. Fenix are aware of it though.

It's an easy workaround. And yes, it's known. Really, I've not seen a release this big with so little and non critical bugs. You should have seen the A300...

The frame-gen mod is also breaking it. Not sure how, again.

Howdy Aamir.  Amazing upgrade…one for the record books!  Question:  Frame Gen Mod or just FG enabled in sim?

Thanks and congrats again Team Fenix!

Well I am on a flight that I did this morning, with the Fenix 30-33 FPS.  Now I am flying the same flight in the PMDG 737 and averaging around 46 FPS. This issue was supposed to have improved performance, but if anything it has gone the other way.

I have not seen improvement nor I've seen decline in performance. Made so far 4 flights and again in the air. FPS fluctuate from 40-50 stable but it appears to be smooth(er) or I am just thinking that way, LOL. Same as V1. As I said before, it could be differences in our hardware and what we are running "behind" the scene(ry).

Well I just compared two aircraft, everything else the same, same scenery, same route, same weather, same hardware, difference in FPS by at  least 20% or more, with the 737 way in the lead.

On my 6th or 7th flight now with B2, and a beta update somewhere in between. No AP disconnect issues for the last 3 flights, no CTDs. Good performance even in heavy clouds/rain + AI traffic. Using AutoFPS, highly recommended.

Takes a while getting used to landings with the updated flight model. I usually go a bit below the glide slope on short final, then retard at approximately 40ft. Using SDS at -20% I find only a little back pressure on side stick is required for the flare. Doing it this way I usually make ground contact just past the aiming point stripes.

I don’t really struggle maintaining centre line as others have reported.

Could be just me, but I find taxi is slightly easier with pedals disconnected. I often oversteer though, more so than w/ V1.

EDIT: Almost forgot to mention, I put the EFB on one iPad and MCDU on another, works like a charm!

We are tracking the performance issues and sent out some builds to affected users earlier today to assess which direction we need to go. Will push this through ASAP for those of you that are suffering from degredation - but I will also caution this may not be a magic fix for every single configuration and setup - but we're actively taking in various reports and acting on them, so if the next version doesn't quite do it - keep us in the loop and we'll keep working on it.

We're using some state-of-the-art modelling techniques to increase visual quality without increasing memory usage or drawcalls, but as we're the only ones really utilising these aspects of the SDK, there's a lot of 'first time' discoveries being made about the effect on some systems. With time we will improve it.

Imagine how good the Fenix will be when they can use ‘modern modelling’ like PMDG….

Oh dear, MK strikes again….

Just landed again, 5 flights so far and really enjoying it, impressed with manual flying and GSX interaction. TAXI is not an issue, but landing, while is better (not sure if flare is still "fixed" but feels better) I am struggling to get centre line when landing.....Always a bit off to the right, approx 7-10 feet. Why to the right have no idea, wind is always different....maybe just me.

Thanks 🙂

Just the mod, FG in sim is ok.

I'm using the FG mod and no crashes from my side, just disabled the display sync because it's smoother at TO and landings

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2020 (she's here, but...).

Looks like I'm not the only one I've seen a harder FPS hit with B2 (compared with the latest B1) 😞

I had to park the B2. However, since I can't live without a 'bus, I reinstalled v1.5 (the latest B1). I could keep stable 60 FPS around LVFR KMIA , with 80 FSLTL planes and the FG mod.1% FPS were 58-60 FPS. I think I can do with that until B2 performance is fixed.

Thing is, if this isn't running your EFB is likely cooked too. So something weird is going on. We're looking into it though.

Again, the Aircraft is all working great, apart from the announcements, but nothing Fenix related showing in task manager....spacer.png
