Should be like that by default from the start up of the aircraft, though. For VNAV it's the same, just the altitude rotary. A mnemonic to remember which direction does what: Push the rotary away from yourself to give control of speed / heading / altitude to the aircraft (managed mode) Pull the rotary towards yourself to take control of speed / heading / altitude yourself (selected mode) Edited March 3, 20242 yr by martinboehme

March 3, 20242 yr 320 Sim Pilot did an initial review for about 45 mins from cold start to take-off only, hey says more to come for the full review with multiple streams testing various normal and abnormal scenarios. His final quotes start here: https://youtu.be/9zd_A1smtHs?t=2482 it feels absolutely beautiful as I'd hope for an a320, i thought it was not bad before, but this is still another step up on that alpha protection very good feels absolutely great, way it rolls, weight of it, very nice indeed landing and flare changes will test in future artwork and sounds have reached a whole new level really impressive update to what was already a fantastic airplane systems depth is brilliant as ever and now we have this fantastic engine modelling I'm seeing a pattern here with all these IRL pilot reviews 🙂 Edited March 3, 20242 yr by lwt1971 Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD

I was just going to add another comment from a real life A220 pilot who used to use the FSLabs A320. The pilot is edwardthepilot who streams on Twitch. While edwardthepilot is not a certified A320 pilot, he is a certified A220 pilot (first officer, I think), and he has used the FSLabs A320 extensively (he used to stream a lot with the FSLabs A320). Edwardthepilot says the Fenix A320 is very similar to the FSLabs A320, but of course, the Fenix A320 is much more visually appealing: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2080021430?t=01h14m30s i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
March 3, 20242 yr I've now got fully custom announcements working for BAW and EZY.... what a lift in immersion! For those unaware, to set up custom announcements, you don't touch the 'announcements' folder within the main Feniz A320's folder. You create a new folder and call it literally anything, and place it in your Community folder. Within that new folder, you need a folder called Announcements (must be exactly this). Within that folder, you set up folders with the correct ICAO code for the desires airline; eg BAW, EZY, UAL, etc Within that folder you place your custom sound files (OGG format), with the same names as those in the default announcements folder. ..... and that's it. The specific airline is picked up from the aircraft.cfg on the ICAO_airline= flag. March 3, 20242 yr Am I missing something here? Performance for me seems worse with the update. I have noticed in the Fenix app that I select 4k textures to be installed but once a livery has been installed it shows as 8k installed. Not sure if this is my performance drop? Other than that, its a great update! A big Thank You from me team Fenix! Chris Howard

If you had the FSLabs busses in P3D you can just change the file names in each airline pack and add them to the fenix. Or you can get a bunch here: https://discord.com/invite/W6p2ndPr
March 3, 20242 yr I've just switched seatbelt signs on because it was getting a bit bumpy at FL390 (two hours out from destination), but I get the 'fasten seatbelts for landing' annoucement...shouldn't it be the turblence announcement? March 3, 20242 yr 19 minutes ago, bigifooti said: The only puzzle left is; where do you get these custom announcement from? I posted a few pages back in this thread. There used to be a cabin sounds app for X-Plane called "3J Cabin Sounds". Over the course of about 7 years, people made dozens of sound packs for various airlines, for this mod. If you Google "3J announcements British Airways" (or your desired airline) you'll hopefully find a few options. I downloaded one of these and then converted the WAV files to OGG files, using https://www.freeconvert.com/wav-to-ogg I then picked out the files that match with the Fenix's annoucements (Eg, 'boarding music' or 'safety video') and renamed them to the Fenix name. Put them into a folder, as instructed above, and et voila... perfect custom announcements. March 3, 20242 yr I noticed on 1st flight Orlando to KATL I was getting FPS of around 28, whereas other aircraft,(GA & liners), usually average about 38. However, flight was still smooth despite FPS drop. T45

Yeah, I made the big mistake of saying I get over 10 FPS better on the 737 than on Fenix B2. This Po'd a few people. I have about 600+ hours on the 737 and about the same on Fenix version 1, why would I say I don't like the 737 in a few weeks???
