SU15 Beta Build 1.37.12.0 Released

Featured Replies

Here's a little video doing some performance tests in the latest SU15 beta.

Caution: It's a little bit silly at times, but mostly extremely serious. For people completely devoid of a sense of humour - please don't watch.

Crank up the volume - it has some great music!

No, I was being sarcastic😄In one of the previous MSFS developer livestreams, I think after the german Gamescom last year, Jörg talked about the extremely small but very vocal Reno expansion community.

I would imagine thousands bought it. However, the execution was so poor that today it is….as the Dodo.

Asobo seemed to have parked it in the circular file, along with the in game flight recorder.

Odd but true: Exactly 100 people purchased the Reno expansion. No less. No more.

I can't wait until they replace those ugly Dune loading images, but I suspect I'll have to put up with them until the next WU.

Loved it, and the music!  Although I can't help thinking a bit of the Numa Numa song would have put the cherry on top at the end.

But anyway, sincere thanks for taking the time to do this.

So SU15 is finally released! Finally. Hideo Kojima would say: Kept you waitin´huh? Well I hope it won´t take long now until the beloved Black Square Duke is getting released 🥰 ....the FlySimware Cessna Chancellor is a great plane but I miss a few features only Black Square planes have, like completely remove the G530 and program virtual waypoints only by abstract digital numbers (radial bearing + distance).

Did you perhaps overlook the "beta" in the title? As far as I can tell, 1.36.2.0 is still the latest public version.

No, but they must be getting close, as the fix logs are quite small now.  If they have nothing further to add, and there are no more show-stoppers (I don't know of any), then they could release this week, or early next.

They could've taken all this time and fix at least the VR shutdown bug, or increase cloud density and variety, or fix ATC descent commands, or.fix AI traffic hammering the CPU, etc.........

Instead we only had a improved memory management release note, aimed at mostly xbox users, priorities, as they say....

This is IMO one of the biggest problems in the sim at the moment. For some reason I haven't seen the ground tile bug at airports for a while.

I'm not really sure what the results of the improved memory management are - but anyway performance is very good in the latest iteration.

It was really bad for me last week at various airports (DX12), so I have gone back to DX11 for now.  FG is nice, but I don't absolutely need it.
The muddy patches were pooping up at various add-on airports, and a YouTube streamer mentioned it at the new Old Warden airfield.  I also had it at the Blackbird Beale AFB quite bad.

I haven't tried the very latest beta update (.12) with DX12 yet, but there was no mention of a fix in that change log, or any previous ones actually.  I will get around to testing it with DX12 again soon.

I think I’ve just been lucky Bob, haven’t seen anything about the bug either, in any of the beta release notes. It could be that AutoFPS has some sort of favorable effect…

If multithreading continues to be improved (not really sure what’s changed since DX12 became available back in Aug ‘22), I will be extremely pleased with MSFS performance.
