Well Majestic said they are still supporting p3d. And I think iFly and FSLabs will potentially update their products to be compatible with V6. And of course the TFDI MD11 is coming out for P3d. But agree with you, not a whole lot of other development going on and I don't expect it will return. Orman

They support P3d (even v6) so I’ll support them. For the most part, I have moved to MSFS and do enjoy it quite a bit. It's the Majestic Q400 and the FSL Concorde that keep me coming back to PD3 occasionally. You really should try out the Q400. It's a great aircraft to learn and fly. I did use the original MJ Q-400 in the good-old FSX Era ... Had followed the early news about it's development since 2005 when it was for the first time mentioned that it used as external FDM the powerful (in the right hands...) JSBSim framework. Have seen a few developers, for more than one platform, recurring to JSBSim when they want a much more detailled simulation in terms of "flight". I do miss the FSLabs Airbuses - never bought the Concorde 😕 Edited May 3, 20242 yr by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Happy to see there are still people like me out there who still get a lot out of flying P3d. I picked up WF Scenery Studios ZGGG earlier this month and am loving it. Between zspd, vhhh, and zggg, couldn’t be happier flying in China in the high quality payware airplanes I have for P3d. i want to pick up several latinvfr airports (KMSY, KRDU, TJSJ) but they haven’t had a sale recently to my knowledge. All focus is on their airbuses I suppose… I also saw majestic’s statement yesterday that they will continue developing the q400 for P3d, and that is next on my list of plane purchases. They support P3d (even v6) so I’ll support them. So do I. Last buy was KMDT (sierrasim), just after release, so no discount. But normally I buy scenery during a sale. And I agree it's very nice to see that this forum is still active. I hope it will stay that way the coming years. P3D is for me still the number 1 simulator and I think it will stay that way. Running 5.4 but thinking of buying v6.
May 3, 20242 yr Commercial Member I've often wondered if there would be any sizeable market left for P3D addons. I used to create photoreal scenery for P3D (maybe some of your remember simwestSOCAL, simwestALBQ, simwestSANDIEGO?), but when MSFS came out sales tanked so I moved into the business-2-business sector of Prepar3D. While financially very rewarding, I often dabbled on the idea of releasing a small US state and see what kind of response I would get... if enough simmers would still want photoreal scenery? I would assume really good photoreal scenery would be in quite high-demand even with the smaller user base (plus I guess you could charge a premium as well)! May 3, 20242 yr Guys, I am working on some scenery for Asia. Currently focusing on Malaysia plus Singapore area and Qatar and the other GCC states. So, there is hope - I can promise you, at some point you will have scenery for P3D for Asia. I plan on working also on whole China and other places. India is in my agenda as well. I am currently fast learning how to make photoreal scenery with Scenproc features and USA2 map imagery in Ortho4XP_P3D. There is some issues with stuff I am facing, which is why I am consulting with Arno, the creator of ScenProc via email. For now I can show you some pictures. Also I made some trees and buildings for French polynesia I can give you for free

May 4, 20242 yr I uninstalled everything to what had to do with Prepar3D and migrated to MSFS. I was very curious about that simulator and wanted to try something else. As with everything in life, "this" and "that" have their pros and cons; but one thing I've noticed is that lack of inertia, the feeling is different for worse in MSFS. I suggest that anyone who has Prepar3D with lots of nice addons stays where you are. I'm not regretting having switched, but MSFS isn't the marvelous thing that many people say it is (just as P3D isn't perfect in many ways), but I wanted to comment on that here. 13600KF - AIO - 32GB DDR4 - RTX4070 - UW1440p GSync - USB DAC - 2TB NVMe - Windows 11 Pro - Gladiator NXT EVO - 1 Gbps Fiber - MSFS 2024

Please don't take this as being adversarial but I don't understand something about these guys. They have a big donate button on their home page then you have a pay ware price on each product. Then if you want to just look deeper into a photo scenery before buying you have to donate the required price just to check it out. In other words, you have to pay the (donation/price) or buy it before you can look at it. IMHO it's fine to sell their products but this is not a donation. A donation is a voluntary gift the amount determined by the donator with no expectation of anything in return other than perhaps a thank you. I just don't understand this method of business transaction. I did see some screen shots on their Facebook page but not of the state I was considering and most of those were at altitude and seemed no better than a lot of the same work produced by some freeware offerings. I certainly don't mean this post as a contradiction or disrespect to @Blasb who is only trying to be helpful to fellow simmers. Vic green
May 5, 20242 yr Hmm..I’m wondering if there are portions of their scenery they don’t want you to see. I remember some states in Megascenery were pretty bad from a coloration standpoint. As for the donation deal, that’s a flag for me.
