Not directly related, but one of my majour grips with MSFS 2020 - loss of focus for instance if I use windowed mode for a given instrument... I loose control if not on AP, and that's really, reallly.... very bad 😕

Puzzles me how they weren't able to sort that out and solve it acceptably ?

In my other sims ( P3D and XP )  I can popup PFD, ND, FMC, whatever and still control the aircraft when manually flying it.

That's odd. Perhaps it is because I only have a simple joystick but I can use that joystick for flying and taxiing even when I have BATC, LNM and a browser on top. Loss of focus of MSFS doesn't mean loss of control on my PC.

EDIT O, wait, sorry, you are talking about popups of instruments... Never tried that...

FSHud really is my go to now in the ATC wars.  The OG POG champion.

I found out a major cause of stutters was actually the PMDG tablet and am back to running FSHud with 10 active and 30 parked.  Really fluid stuff.  At a busy Haneda I had aircraft waiting for permission to cross the runway, I had a queue of planes waiting for the active to be free while I was on short final.  All in communication.  There was immaculate spacing, immaculate routing from start to finish.  Really great stuff.

Anyone else having trouble getting planes to show up at the destination.

Once again I landed at KBOS and not one plane in site.

Happens a lot lately

configure it properly and you will have the traffic

I have traffic and parked aircrafts in all airports using fsltl.

I too have been trying to iron out stutters and am now at 15 parked 15 active but still have lots of stutters on take off and landing in VR.

I too am using the PMDG, so wondering how you managed to figure out and eliminate the stutters caused by the tablet? Do you not use it? Thanks for your help!

I have traffic at takeoff airport. Lots of it. There no configuration problem. There is however no planes on arrival, unless there is another setting somewhere I am not aware off.

Habw you set the Traffic mode to "External" in FSHUD, this assuming you're using FSLTL for AI traffic injection?

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

" external" mode if you use fsltl injector  and "aig" if you use internal fshud injector with aig models

Never use BGL, bcs you will see the the word not allowed standard ia planes

The only other thing I can see is the Performance balancer. Never had that on before.

Will try and test it tonight

Hey folks,

Just picked up FSHud today and have to say I'm generally very impressed. One question I have is how does the ATC assign active runways to the AI it's controlling? I set it up with FSLTL and all was going well until I came to land at LSGG, My flight-plan was for RWY22, as was being used in the real world at the time. However the AI traffic was using RWY04 with the ATC actually clearing myself and an AI plane to land on apposing runways at the same time.

Is this just a quirk of the software or is there a way to avoid this?

It depends on the winds at the time of clearance. So if you were assigned a runway and the wind changes, it will assign other planes to the opposite runway but won’t change yours unless you ask for it. So you might find yourself and other ai planes cleared for one runway and the rest of ai to another.

Hmm interesting, As I recall RWY22 was the active for the full duration of the flight. Is FSHud actively checking the winds periodically or does it take a snapshot at the time you launch the sim?

I been trying FSHud out the past few days with the latest betas and I've got to say, it's pretty impressive (I'm a long-time P2ATC user), what with it controlling AI traffic.
