GSX Fenix A320 constant error

Featured Replies

When clicking load aircracft by GSX on the Fenix A320 I get:
The addon is causing the Couatl scripting Engine to restart.
Please run Live Update
Do you want to open log to see error details?

I ran Live update, no effect.

The error log is below. Can anyone help? Thanks

Apparently it's a current issue with GSX failing to get fuel prices (?), at least according to the Fenix Discord. Users there have reported similar issues with other aircraft.. ..

Exactly the same happens to me with PMDG 737. I'm gonna post in their forum with this linked.

Update: it's already plagued bug reported in their forum.

So neither Fenix nor PMDG are flyable now with GSX, right?

We'll surely fix this in the next update which is due very soon but, in the meantime, you can fix it by blocking the EIA.GOV website in your PC this way:

- Edit this file:

\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

and add this line as the last line of text:

127.0.0.1 api.eia.gov

Thanks 4 the quick fix, it works ok now.

******* I never knew GSX takes the current fuel prices from the internet for the calculations. That's some nerdy stuff!

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

...and automatically withhold it from your paycheck. Look at your paystub, once you have a moment.

Thank you!

Will we need to remove this when the update is released?

Yes. I had the same problem with Concorde in P3Dv5. It's a global issue. That edit fixed it for me.

Umm I had that problem today (at ORBX Václav Havel Airport Prague).  I had a duff GSX airport profile which I replaced and the problem went away.

Then you didn't had the same problem (until you open the error log, the error screenshot looks always the same), because there's no way you could fix the error on refueling with a different airport profile.

We already fixed this, so editing the hosts file won't be required anymore, as soon the 3.0 update will go live, and it's being uploaded as we speak, but it will take several hours before it will available, since it's a huge update, probably the largest we had so far.
