Alternatively, a more efficient CPU will complete assigned tasks faster, consuming less electricity and thus generate less heat which has to be dissipated by the cooling system.

What also works for me is keeping the CPU and all case fans at a constant 100% RPM. A monotonous drone is much easier to bear than constant RPM variations.

what @jcomm really means is that he feels that the competitor product is using less CPU resources than X-Plane

Oh, I misunderstood the comment then. It is true that MSFS uses superior code in that regard, as far as I know it will take advantage of multiple CPU cores, something that X-Plane can´t do (yet), for the most part (there are exceptions, like when loading new scenery tiles).

They fixed a ton of bugs. VNAV is good but they are still working on implementing the  winds. HOLD’s work. All in all 95% a fantastic plane. But am also waiting for the last 5% 😊

I can recommand it since months. Here a very good video from BB711. When asked about which one he prefers beetween PMDG and FF, he said it’s difficult to say, FF goes a big deeper and the handflying feels more realistic (as stated by him who also flew the 777 irl):

@uwespeed absolutely amazing shots!

Yeah, and even better than mine in the "Beta 4 is out" thread. That's the result, if you let experts do their job and not hobbyists (SCNR 😁).

I've been enjoying Torquesim's SR22 again lately while I wait for the Hot Start guys to finish TBM 900 for xplane.

Torquesim makes some amazing addons but I think they don't know how to advertise their products and what's going on under the bonnet.
