The oldtimers amongst us will remember (XP 8 times*). It was called the Apple Mac among the planes due to the slick and elegant design. It was updated so that it's flyable in XP 12. * Back then, the planes didn't even have transparent windows (from the outside, but of course from the inside 😄) and the cockpits were 2D - which I also like in this plane because of the clear and straight design. 18 hours ago, Pe11e said: My fav at the moment - Aerobask DA20 I like especially the 3rd and 4th with the defocussing effect. It seems you are lucky, as usually posts with more than 2 pictures are moved to the screenshots forum (and that's the reason, why I pasted the cockpit of the Evenblade into one of the pictures). But as we know, it wasn't meant to be and the fun and prestige ladder ended in the left seat of the comparatively boring 747. So having the model in XP makes for a nice "what if" scenario. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

April 14, 20251 yr Well you certainly can see what a bang for visuals XP12.2 is having in the quality and composition of screenshots here in this little cul-de-sac and the big show over at the ORG. The almost photographic quality or shall we say a lot of stuff now is very impressive either the model itself, the sky (Colours and Cloud) or general atmosphere. I have to actually stop and look again because to first glance it does look like a photograph. It is one hell of a change and you can see it in the screenies. As for the sim - chugs along fault free at twice the FPS and that is amazing. Edited April 14, 20251 yr by coastaldriver

True this ... 😉 (below screenies are from the org). Oh - as the above screenies are showing helos and in another thread the fun of flying such beasts 😉 was mentioned: meanwhile I made good progress building my muscle memory. It remembers me to my first lessons in gliding at the takeoff of the plane. For the first meters someone is holding your wings until you gain enough speed that you can balance them yourself with your stick and something like here doesn't happen. In my first attempt I did the instructor had to intervene, the second was already better and the third successful. Man was I proud of myself 😄. Next morning - first attempt: fail. Second: better. Third: success again 💪. Next day - first attempt: fail (🤬). Second: better. Third: success again 💪💪. 4th day: first attempt - as if I did it for years 😄. Eventually it makes 'click' and it works - as with other things in life. But it takes its time ... I downloaded it and flew it last night. It was pure joy! It stays. 🙂 Thank you. I also have his Ju-52 that is the older version of what is now in MSFS.
