June 25, 20241 yr Guess I am the only one still flying the 737 tonight, or trying to. However I am getting a really weird bug, making it impossible to fly. On load up, the control column of both pilots are fully left and right, there is a weird glitch where the power switches are protruding through the stoppers, and I cannot press any button or do anything at all. The frame rates are also really sluggish too. I have restarted the flight, the sim, reinstalled the aircraft, and it is still exactly the same. It was doing this intermittently, now it is doing it all the time.
June 25, 20241 yr Have you tried with an empty community folder? some mods can affect other planes, even if they have nothing to do with said plane. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
June 25, 20241 yr It's a rare bug introduced into one of the recent updates. Some sort of WASM crash IIRC. Usually just restarting the flight via the option in the pause menu should fix it. If not, try a couple more times 🙂 For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
June 25, 20241 yr I get this every single time the PMDG is the first plane loaded after loading in the sim. A trip back to main menu and reload also fixes it every single time. Thankfully that only takes seconds and not the minutes it takes the sim to load. Ryan
June 25, 20241 yr Exactly the same issue here and every time as well, have to restart the flight and then it's fine. I don't have to go back to the main menu though at least. PMDG offering me a free copy of the 777 would go a long way towards mitigating this inconvenience. 😉 Joking aside it's annoying indeed and needs fixing.
June 25, 20241 yr Same issue with me too, about half the time I load one of the 737 variants I get this same situation. Exiting to the main menu and starting again sorts it out but it is somewhat frustrating. MSFS 2024. June 25, 20241 yr So a bunch of guys complaining about posts with real names (shock) and no solution. Other than that, thanks for the link! Ryan
June 26, 20241 yr In that link is another link to an update to this very issue, final post there is a screenshot of someone having the same issue in the 777 now as well, no fix in sight for this one clearly. 🤨 https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/pmdg-737-for-msfs/general-discussion-no-support/297395-post-simupdate-problems/page4
June 26, 20241 yr It has been many weeks and we still have this issue. After restarting I check the FMC and the settings have always changed, and there is about 25 pages of aircraft and equipment settings to update 🤢 http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

Normally just reloading the sim fixes it for me, but I did have it happen during landing the other day and couldn't do anything

June 26, 20241 yr Author I wonder why it's only some of us having the issue. It sometimes fixes itself by reloading another aircraft, but often takes nearly an hour of loading and reloading, just to get set up.
July 22, 20241 yr I have the observed the same issue. First time I load a flight with the PMDG 737 (any model), the controls are locked left and toggle switches protruding through the guards. Restarting the flight a time or two will clear it but it is a pain.
