There’s another thread now on weird post-update stuff. Seems completely random.

  • Well, if you have a perfectly running sim, and you come home, start MSFS, install a mandatory update from Asobo, and it breaks your sim, whose fault is that?

Only time I turn on my VPN is to download MSFS updates.  Without the VPN the download often goes down to zero.  With the VPN on, I get 100MBs plus.

  • MSFS sure have screwed things up. Removing PMDG 777 & 738 did nothing for me. Still working my way through my community folder instead of flying! What a waste of time. About time software companie

FWIW, I'm on 551.52, Win 10 and an nVidia 4090 Founder's Edtion GPU, and all appears to be working normally post-update.

I just updated Nvidia driver, same problem.

Fixed all my problems.

What problems?

Well I just discovered it is something in the community folder that is causing this issue. I renamed the Community folder, and it starts fine, no freezing or sound issues. Troubleshooting time tomorrow. My guess is one of those scenery items is the cause.

After many hours, removing the PMDG 777 from my community folder, and everything is back to normal.

Also having issues since this update. Get to 75% on the new activities loading screen, sound stops and it shuts itself down! Never had issues until today...

Had a few successful separate sessions this morning, post update. No issues. Updated to 560.81 when it was released.

since 8th of August again MS server issues, MS store and system updated, time syncronized but loading times (if it is connecting to MS server) up to 12 minutes normally 3-4, had nothing todo with Asobo update. What a mess, same procedure every week again and again. Then inflight the usual red brainless disconnect warnings in the middle of the screen. Best regards

Same problem. Had to remove the PMDG 777 for MSFS to start at all. Reinstall Fenix, but it is not the way it was. This update has trashed MSFS.

No problems with the last update here🤞

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

MSFS sure have screwed things up. Removing PMDG 777 & 738 did nothing for me. Still working my way through my community folder instead of flying! What a waste of time. About time software companies stop f***king things up with updates 🤬

My time is valuable.

Yet most people here have had no issues. I don’t think it’s Asobo’s fault
