I am averaging a WHOPPING 0.79 Mbits trying to get this update. WTH is up with their update servers recently. They back to the old 56K Modem???🙄

on my end they were using the old 100 MBit modem. as usual.

Weird, still crawling here. Ran a speed test in my browser just before posting and got 454 Mbits while this was still running. I am currently at 60% complete, guess I will come back later and fly.. hahahaha

It was fast for me. This time. Although download speeds seem completely random, sometimes 2-3, other times more than 100Mbps…

I just updated, and now my sounds keeps cutting out, and MSFS 2020 freezes intermittently. Trying a restart for the third time Still NG. I think the update broke my sim.

I did both three times. It is not just the sound, the entire sim freezes for a few seconds

Only time I turn on my VPN is to download MSFS updates.  Without the VPN the download often goes down to zero.  With the VPN on, I get 100MBs plus.

I just remembered, after the update the resolution has changed. When I changed it, the sim display went black. Had to force shut. I then re-enabled borderless window in usercfg.opt, restarted. Changed a graphics setting, black display again and another forced restart.

The sim then froze after I changed from drone cam to cockpit in the T-6A. I lost patience and watched some tv instead, after force-quitting the sim for the third time.

Just an example of strange things happening with the sim lately 🤷🏻‍♂️

After trying a few times, what is happening is the sim is freezing, sound cuts out at the same time, nothing moves on the screen. Then a few seconds later everything starts up. I have never seen anything like, have no idea what is going on. Prior to the update, everything was perfect. 

 

The immediate clue that something had changed was the background music when the sim is loading kept cutting out.

Done an hour ago, was a fast update, seems all is working fine no problems with my sound..
