Not everyone has the same 3rd party addons, so that could explain why some are having issue and others aren't. Well had 3 flights yesterday with the last flight finishing around 23:00 UTC last night. Come this morning start MFSF, get updates and crashes from then on! Seems an Asobo issue to me. August 9, 20241 yr Add-On Linker is your friend. Before any update, I clear my community folder just in case the update breaks an addon. Then I only load the essentials. It's a much easier way to test. A loaded community folder has been problematic after an update. That's what I've read here. MSFS

August 9, 20241 yr maybe it has something to do with the MS Store windows alert and clock update on 08.08. I have had to sync my clock under system / date and time. then the PC started but as written with 12 minutes loading time and is still in this condition. Ralf Andreas

I don’t think it’s Asobo’s fault I think it’s a random issue that affects a minority of users, but I do think it’s related to the update. In my case, the sim was fine (except the connection issues), but immediately after the update a lot of weird stuff happened. 1 hour ago, Bobsk8 said: Well, if you have a perfectly running sim, and you come home, start MSFS, install a mandatory update from Asobo, and it breaks your sim, whose fault is that? Yeah, this has happened to me a few times and I know quite a few others have complained. Nobody has ever taken the trouble to work out why that happens or offer any explanation. I think it has something to do with having your settings saved in the cloud and MSFS not being able to access them, but again, not sure why. August 9, 20241 yr Still can't understand why people keep blaming Asobo/MSFS when they have clear instructions on how to proceed when performing an update. How to install a new update safely: MOVE (OR RENAME) YOUR COMMUNITY FOLDER This is the first step before proceeding. August 10, 20241 yr I was enthused when I looked through the list of improved airports. Was especially enthusiastic about KOSH, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA, home to the incredible annual Air Venture fly-in and aviation exposition. After the mandatory update I navigated to Osh Kosh and alas after taxiing around a bit found many of the "updated" buildings and structures visual quality comparable to the ancient Aztec indian ruins in New Mexico. Very sad given its significance among world aviation destinations. It, like KLAL at Lakeland Florida, home to the annual Fun 'n Sun aviation event, deserves much greater attention to detail in the flight simulator itself.😩 Edited August 10, 20241 yr by fppilot Frank Patton Corsair 5000D Airflow Case; MSI B650 Tomahawk MOB; Ryzen 7 7800 X3D CPU; ASUS RTX 4080 Super; NZXT 360mm liquid cooler; Corsair Vengeance 64GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM; RMX850X Gold PSU;; ASUS VG289 4K 27" Display; Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo, Crosswind 3's w/dampener.
