That hideous view in front of the IDS Centre in the above screenshot is one reason why I do not use PG.

I get it...  but you're almost never flying that low unless you're at a hospital or police helipad.  That angle was more for a comparison pic of the real one 🙂

I'd rather see a realistic structure than a random building imo.  It's especially annoying to not use PG in an area I'm familiar with hehe.

Plus I think the newer style is actually quite good.  This is the original PG.

  • I see that these are downtowns, but for crying out loud how do you do Indianapolis without including the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway?

Too close to MS24 and their updated TIN. Pass.

SS3D was a dev that took its time to release one detailed city at a time. Now it's four cities in one pack, which are released more frequently.

Definitely has become a quantity over quality dev. Will be getting giving this a miss.

To be honest, this seems par for the course for their level of quality across their career. Not saying it's great, but it's consistent.

I still don't think buildings will look as good as this.

And they'll still be slightly melted in the distance.

Well, I'm a confirmed scenery junkie, and I was pleased to see this pop up in my inbox - I've got most of their other stuff. But as usual I went to check what the default cities looked like, and I have to say I can't see any benefit at all in buying this package. The cities concerned all look fine to me in the standard PG, and the buildings included here seem very nondescript. Even getting pretty close up with the PG it still looked better than this package to my eyes. Very disappointed. Guess I'll pass on this for now (I say that because I might weaken - I've had plenty of products in the past that actually look a lot better on my system than they do in their sales/promo shots)

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Yeah, the reason to have this kind of add-on isn't so much to go look at the buildings up close, but because they retain the shape of the skyline from a distance.
