I've removed outdated terrain masks and introduced a new spring-themed terrain mask exclusively for the Los Angeles area, available only during the spring season. This new feature will be rolled out to additional areas in future updates.

Additionally, waterfalls and volcanoes will continue to evolve and expand with each update.

i have manually edited tree density to 100%, height 50% , i think it looks good that way. Use the notepad and look for the input of speciesInstancesPerHectar="700" in *.xml. If the original density is 1400, just put half 700 and repeat with all inputs takes 5 minutes about

All who like this (or not) should leave a review on SimFlight.  The last time I tried something like this it took a hit on framerates (and that was in 2D).  Now that I'm solely VR can't afford a performance hit.🤔

Testing tree height density.

Use google maps to find a good place to test e.g. a runway lined with trees, or overhead of a city, etc.

Click in Google maps and copy the displayed location coordinates.

Paste into MSFS map page search box and set as Departure (Use an online eapp to alter the coordinate system if necessary to be recognized).

Start all flights from that same Departure, active pause, and capture screens shots using different versions of the tree height density addon.

This just seems like another pay money to beta test.. I'm good. 

Altering the app files to be more to your liking:

Height 75% density 150% version of the app:

10-asobo_species.xml file:

typical line

      <Size min="11.25" max="15" />

All trees of that species will be a random number between 11.25 and 15.

The Defaults ( Asobo ) version:

    <Size min="15" max="20"/>

All trees of the same species will be a random height between 15 and 20. (the max height 15 is 75% of 20)

City Density alterations

Filename:

15-asobo_biomes_cities.xml

Defaults version, height density cities all 100% (normal).

<BiomeRule name="Deciduous_Cities" speciesInstancesPerHectar="700"

The city density of trees for hectar is 700

Height 75 Density 150 City Density 25 version:

<BiomeRule name="Deciduous_Cities" speciesInstancesPerHectar="175"

city density is 175 (25% of 700).

All of these edits are just changing text with notepad.

For tree height there is so many species that you have so many text alterations to do (change min and max height for every single species). Each species is on a different line in the .xml file

For City Density and normal Density you only have to make one change in the text instead of several (e.g. change 700 to 175 for city density.

You have to also change one line for tree density outside of the cities, but you do that in a different file:

I tried this when 7.5 came out and it happened to me like Rex's seeing all the brown trees in the LEMU area in autumn made me uninstall it's an area where most trees are evergreen, so far I have found no substitute for Global forest from x-plane for mfs

Since you are talking about a specific area, maybe you should ask Bijan if this can be done for you?

Hawaii will be in next update. I have few of them done already. Here is one in Hawaii and one in South America which will be in next update.

Does anyone know if this mod works with REX Accuseason? Should, as long as you do not adjust tree size using Accuseason, no?
