Please separate 2020 and 2024

Featured Replies

To those in charge;

This has already been mentioned, but 2020 and 2024 really need separate threads.  Mainly because it's going to be really hard to find 2020 posts among all of the 2024 chatter and there will be users who stay with 2020 even once 2024 is released.

Keeping them together is similar to having FSX and P3D in the same forum

Thanks..

Keeping them together is similar to having FSX and FSX SE in the same forum.

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

No it isn't. 2024 is a completely new Sim, Steam Edition isn't any different from FSX.

lol no. The comparison is flawed. FSX SE was a minor alteration.

FS2024 is more to FS9 to FSX.

Point taken, but in terms of issues, etc.  2020 and 2024 are separate simulators.

In the end it's the people who run AVSIMs decision, so..

It's hard to believe that with such a massive existing user base that there is now no longer a dedicated MSFS 2020 forum anywhere on the Internet.

Please make a dedicated 2024 forum.

At this instant - five of the six most recent threads are about 2024 as are eight of the 18 threads on the first page.

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D  / MSI X870 Tomahawk Mobo / 64 GB DDR5 memory / RTX 4070 Super with 12 GB VRAM / AORUS FO48U 4k display
NVMe for Drive C, an NVMe device dedicated to Flight Sim 2024 and a separate NVMe device for Flight Sim 2020 and an NVMe dedicated to 500GB of addons managed by AddonsLinker   / 1 GB Comcast Xfinity Internet connection / HP Reverb G2 / Tobii 5 Head & Eye Tracking

I am not one of those people, but this is a disaster for those who will stay with MSFS 2020. Come November, this forum will be useless to them.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!
