That forward camera in the Optica is very cool

People were saying the tech alpha build that everyone was testing was missing grass and other terrain enhancements from the build the content creators at the Grand Canyon had to experience.

Does this version of MSFS 2024 that Got Friends, Hype Performance Group, and MilTech Simulations are demoing today, have the missing grass and other terrain enhancements that was missing from the tech alpha build?

I saw grass at the very beginning, so guessing they're running a recent build with features turned on.

Wow the C17 has some nice features

the animation on the wipers looks sooo smooth!

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

I enjoyed that stream, so much detail in the new "default" aircraft it's nuts, that C17 looked incredible and the H225, the DracoX looks like a monster and so much fun can't wait for that. Certainly not enough days in the year to learn them all inside out, might have to take a month off work 😄

Aside the grass, rocks & boulders, tracks of wheels and the runways looking vastly more detailed (no need for runway texture mods anymore!) there wasn't much else I could see of MSFS24 graphical features as I was paying close attention to the aircraft....oh the C17 lights 😍

...oh and Jorg mentioned something about the Tech Alpha for Developers should be live now...👀

if I understood correctly, Echo19 did the sounds for the C17

For anyone who knows about the Optica in 2020, at 11:45 he talks about cruise speed and says 45 kn loiter mode to 100 kn cruise. But wikipedia says the stall speed is 58 kn and loiter mode is 70kn.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgley_Optica

So, how slow can the Optica fly in MSFS?

Has anyone written up a summary or posted an article anywhere? Don’t have time to watch the video til later this week.

It's a small thing, but I love that the Got Friends planes will transmit vibration into the plane's body from any bumps on the ground. Will be great for landing in rough spots bush flying.
