A2A Simulations MSFS 2024 Update

Featured Replies

Some say: "A2A and other aircraft with external programs will never work in MSFS 2024 out of the box!"😭😭😭

Not quite.😏

We were granted access to the MSFS 2024 dev alpha last month, and based on the testing we’ve done so far, the existing version of the Comanche works well in the new simulator. There may be a few issues that do need addressing, but core Accu-Sim features like the external aerodynamics engine are playing nicely with the new sim. In other words, we hope you’ll be able to enjoy your Comanche in MSFS 2024 on day one, or very soon after.

Once we have access to the final build of MSFS 2024, we should be able to fully assess any remaining issues, and if all looks good, we’ll post some details on how to transfer your Comanche files and aircraft state to the new sim.

Can't wait to get that Aerostar...been one of my most wanted addons for over a decade.

This is great to hear! I think all that time and effort A2A spent developing their external engine has paid off, letting them transition from version version with minimum work.

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

Are they in the marketplace?

This is indeed good news, looking at the feeds for the A330, AM400, it does appear things are looking up.

Well said. Very nice of them to let it merge on over without a hitch. And no upgrade fee, unless I am not reading something correctly?

Most devs have already said that if the amount of work required to port is minimal, and the plane basically works like it did in 2020 ( using none of the new features ) they won’t charge.

if they make a version that uses all the new features of 2024, an upgrade fee would be completely fair.

There's no upgrade fee, because it appears the addon will work as-is.

They're going to evaluate the effort required to take advantage of the new v2024 features, but in all honesty, they've got most of that covered already, so...

Well, we didn’t get the 172/182 for 2020.  Hoping we see it in 2024.
