Too bad that this is another 10 hours from now. 😉 Then Asia and Oceania get downloading. This could go on until enough people have given up on the sim so the most patient ones finally can get in. Then, once the rest learns that the problem has gone away they'll start hammering the servers again. November 20, 20241 yr The thing is it’s not installing anything. It’s just loading it from the servers so this can go on forever until enough people give up… …and the loading can easily get bad again when people try again or if your game even crashes. it’s unbelievable. November 20, 20241 yr Something seems to be working. I'm getting additional packages activated that I did not before and my download is popping in and out in the 200Mbps range.
November 20, 20241 yr Missing planes because MS is eating the cats. (just kidding). Actually after 3 hours, just the sim opened and all the planes are there (Aviators edition). I think they have the missing planes issue fixed. It flies like the Alpha did: Very nice! To see the beauty set the flight time to late May. That's when the world looks great in real life too. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
November 20, 20241 yr I'm in now, and all my aircraft appear to be here, and I'm seeing the handcrafted airports
November 20, 20241 yr At least there are default assignments (the alpha had none). But I have to reassign non default commands. I am going to keep 2020 open on another screen to recall my assignments while I redo them 2024. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. November 20, 20241 yr Am off to bed now… been waiting since 4pm… pathetic… 8 hours … what a waste of bloody time Regards Paul EGCC
November 20, 20241 yr 8 hours of looking at the loading screen, 5 minutes on the ground in Cape Town. Shoddy this is, really shoddy.
November 20, 20241 yr The depart and arrive still seems odd. I'm in the Cessna 152 and depart London City and it suggests I set arrival to Chicago O'hare. I think better AI is needed. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
