November 22, 20241 yr I installed a small freeware app, 'Shift + Z' that ran in 2020 & showed several flight data elements, including FPS. It runs in 2024, but doesn't show FPS. Is there any way I can view the 2024 FPS # during a flight? T45
November 22, 20241 yr Windows game bar is one of the ways. Press Windows Key+G. Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.
November 22, 20241 yr Or activate Developper mode and go in the Debug menu. It has the option "Show FPS". Regards, Vital Vanbeginne
November 22, 20241 yr GForce (Alt+R) shows some data, if you're using GForce. Richard Chafey i7-8700K @4.8GHz - 32Gb @3200 - ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero - EVGA RTX3090 - 3840x2160 Res - KBSim Gunfighter - Thrustmaster Warthog dual throttles - Crosswind V3 pedals MSFS 2020, DCS

T45 I think I'm running the same freeware app. It does work on my 2024 setup, however, unlike in 2020, in 2024 I am having to turn the feature on manually every time I start/restart the sim/flight. If installed correctly there will be a square in your 2024 toolbar at the top of the screen, with no logo or icon. You have to click that to turn it on. In 2020 it seems to remember and always auto starts. Also, you may have to remap Shift Z in sim as for me it was already mapped to something else in 2024.
November 22, 20241 yr Author I couldn't get Windows Key + G to show FPS, however that could be because I am running "2020 Transference Settings" for my keyboard. I did find the Dev. Mode & turned on FPS - looks like whereas on a GA flight in Mexico I was getting around 35 fps, the same flight in 2024 is giving 23 to 28 FPS. (Running Custom Graphics, a mix of Medium & High) Also took the B737 - 800 Max out of Miami to Jacksonville & it was a smooth flight, however the aircraft textures are rough edged unless you are right up close to the aircraft, & the scenery is not as good as 2020 yet. A lot of the trees look like someone put a shotgun blast through the upper foliage, & distant hills are as bare as a badgers b-m. T45

November 23, 20241 yr If you’re using Steam you can turn FPS on in the steam client for all apps. It displays the frame generation FPS number. T45 I tried to copy my Shift - Z utility over to 2024 but it doesn't seem to work (I had to reassign the new default slew command so I could free up Shift - Z). I just copied the folder from my 2020 community folder to my 2024 one, did you do anything else to get it working? Yes, I did a fresh download from .to, then installed it in the 2024 Community Folder. It should appear as a "Z" in the menu bar at the top of the flight screen. You need to click on it to make it appear top LH corner of screen. You need to click on it each new flight as default setting is to 'not show'. Currently missing FPS & Sim Rate. T45
