August 10, 2025Aug 10 Just an FYI. I had to remove the LA Photogrammetry file from the latest release. It was causing a massive loss of FPS in VR in 2024. I know it was recently updated and looks great, but previous versions didn’t have the negative performance impact. Edited August 10, 2025Aug 10 by Gulf76

I know it was recently updated and looks great, but previous versions didn’t have the negative performance impact. Your observation must be from another cause. Here’s a direct comparison of LA with and without Seasons Enhanced, with an FPS counter. As you can see, there is no FPS loss — if anything, it can be smoother because of fewer photogrammetry trees. Please look for other possible causes, such as: Other addons overlapping or modifying the same area (scenery conflicts) Recent simulator update changes affecting performance Heavy AI traffic or live traffic enabled VR rendering resolution or OpenXR settings being too high Weather presets or live weather performance impact Background applications using CPU/GPU resources Rolling cache or scenery cache issues Hope this helps track it down. September 15, 2025Sep 15 Thank you so much for the incredible addon, again! One question, no chance to make it work with ORBX's Jurassic World? Link to the thread describing the issue: https://forum.orbxdirect.com/topic/225546-jurassic-world-and-bijans-trees/

It not only has seasons, it has DAYS -- the foliage changes visibly day-by-day throughout the year, a feature that as far as I know, no other sim has. Bijan is great, for sure, but it can't match this.
September 17, 2025Sep 17 It also helps clean up the tree placement, better trees and so on. It’s not just seasons. It’s subtle but I like it. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

Bijan is great, for sure, but it can't match this. I think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding 🙂. My mod doesn’t replace the default seasons — it builds on them. The built-in system is still very limited (for example, it doesn’t even work in the southern hemisphere, and areas like California aren’t represented correctly). My mod adds thousands of fixes and improvements on top of what’s already there. And yes, day-by-day changes are part of it too! I've considered getting your mod, but I have to be honest I've not seen any compelling technical description of what it really does and how it will enhance what I get with default 2024. Is there any resource that might help me with this please? I'd like to understand what I'd be getting, and what, if anything, I might be giving up, by using it. Might just be me being thick, so apologies in advance if that's the case! EDIT: I fly mostly in the UK, and the product description (below) is fairly limited. What I find really annoying with default is where hedgerows are depicted with lines of fully grown trees, which clearly isnt as realistic as it could be! Would your mod impact this at all please? United Kingdom: Updated trees in UK, including Scotland’s shores and hills. Added a variety of heather, bushes, wildflowers for a more natural look. Added Terrain mask to reduce bluish/green grass to natural green/yellow." Also, for anyone wondering, its £18 in the marketplace, and $15.95 (equivalent to £11.69) direct from Bijan... that's a no brainer! September 18, 2025Sep 18 As you wrote yourself: for 12£ it is a no brainer, just get it, install it and let it do its thing. You will notice the differences soon enough and if you do not notice anything bad with the vegetation, it is also a pretty big compliment for this product 😉 Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
September 18, 2025Sep 18 Personally I think Bijan's work on this is so good that if I were Jörg I would contract him for each World Update. Pay him enough that he can hire a small team of maybe 3 to 5 people on part time and then tell them the schedule of which part of the world will get the next world update and then task him and his team to clean up the vegetation for that area. I have used your product for years, but wasn't aware that it now accommodates day-to-day changes -- apparently I missed something. Good to know.

I have replied to him directly, after seeing his post -- see above. What is it that prompts an unnecessarily harsh response from you over a simple misunderstanding? Bijan was civil and accommodating about it. Too bad some others can't follow his example, but I guess it's in their DNA.
