November 29, 20241 yr The amount of glitches, bugs, incompleteness and bogus scoring is astounding. How do you tolerate it? Stockholm syndrome is the gaming norm now or what?
November 29, 20241 yr I just hate that you are forced to use the dreadful in-game ATC. I tried firing up FSHud on an iPad and ignoring the in game stuff, and my reputation decreased so quickly that I'd never get promoted. I wish we could find a way around this.
November 29, 20241 yr OK, now for shure that`s not my simulator at least the next six months..🫣 To much issues, i read when i look around, that can`t be fixed in lets say two month - never !! We were relieved and amazed that there would be another flight simulator. So we could put up with the glitches. Now FS2024, although it offers a few new things, is mainly an irritation rather than something groundbreaking and exciting. It's a real let down. It's just like Cities Skylines 2 was to Cities Skylines. Game devs really struggle to follow up on a superb initial release. Edited November 29, 20241 yr by Langeveldt

The only issues I've seen so far was when taking the Commercial Checkride, I couldnt get the ATC to hear me (I could hear them and make an initial call) thus I did the entire short flight without using the radio. I got an 85% on that and the rest of the aspects a 100% so I passed the test. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi
November 29, 20241 yr I followed the taxi ribbon and clipped a tree at Worcester Glider Airport in South Africa. Aside from that I've found career mode to be fun and the only reason I still use MSFS 2024. Being forced to use the in-game ATC and losing reputation if you ignore it is really rubbish though. I tried to fire up FSHud on the iPad to get around it, but the reputation loss was too great 😄

I feel thats a fair assessment but I personally won't generalize that to every game. Seeing both 2020 and 2024, if I was told that 2024 was what Asobo was hoping to release for 2020 as far as features, performance, physics and environment but it would need another 4 years in addition to the 5 years of creating 2020 so it released 2020 as a way to get to 2024, I'd believe it. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi

November 29, 20241 yr Be thankful you can access career. Some of us are still crashing out on the Customise Identity screen with a red man of death. I've never known a more borked game on release.
November 29, 20241 yr Sometimes reading through the different topics I ask myself if we are all on the same version of the sim or if its just a more positive view that I try to hold on things!? Are there bugs in 2024? Yes sure a lot of them and some really annoying. Is it usable atm for me? Yes and I'm having a lot of fun even in career mode. I had some abort on missions cause of goals not matching real weather and you can't swtich things atm. But checking the missions before is working. I had some magic witchcraft drop in reputation twice but yay I can live with it. After a few flights back up. After doing some certificates I just opened my first cargo company, bought a used 172 and doing just this moment my first flight with it. 2024 can already look better, perform better and fly better than 2020 for me. Me like it 😄 Cheers and Blue Skies! T. Edited November 29, 20241 yr by Torsen
