And I am sure it was mentioned but addons are a particular culprit. Even if you didn't update or download something from a third party. Even from the market place. Scenery can conflict with other scenery sometimes. However, most of this was resolved prior to and up to SU15 if I remember correctly.

I had nothing but problems, clean install. Still CTD's out of nowhere. Been smooth since then

Well i have found the culprit for me and it was the nvidia driver latest.

I rolled back to previous driver and no more pc shutdowns.

Thought it might help others.

I logged a call with HP and they laughed at me. When I finally got an engineer out, he asked (laughing) whether it was me that thought a CPU was causing coloured spots to appear on the display.

I had DXGI ctds this morning. The sim couldn't pass the loading screen. Last night was fine. Found the solution on Avsim.

Ah, sorry Søren, sure, couldn't see anything unusual.

I also had three DXGI CTD's this morning, never had this before.

Everything was perfect when I last flew on Friday of last week. I had updated too the latest NVIDIA drivers and the sim was performing amazingly, I actually thought to myself it was the best I had seen in quite a while.

Clearly I jinxed myself LOL

I have just completed a quick flight at ORBx ESNU Umea this evening, and I noticed some black lines in a lake for the first time ever in MSFS 2020. These are not those "land bars" that I have mentioned countless times in the past. They are the "thin black lines" that appear and disappear as you fly past. I had assumed that they were a phenomenon related to having PG enabled, but sadly that does not appear to be the case. However, I remain puzzled as to why it has taken me so long (a full year) to see any of them on my own PC

Maybe the conspiracy theorists could enlighten me as to whether this has anything to do with MSFS 2024?

Well I managed one flight with no DXGI CTD then tried again and it happened twice at the gate.

Man this is frustrating, I guess I will be rolling back my Nvidia driver

Once I have a driver that works, I don't mess with it. Driver problems I have had over the years, Zero.

The weird thing was I did 3 perfect flights just a few days ago and now the same error time after time, maybe it is a MS/ASOBO thing, who knows !
