There's a separate display for drones.  Do any of the areas correspond to the current "UFO" problem?

According to a guy on News Nation, a drone expert, a NOTAM, warning of drone flights was issued before this started.

2:39 ^ It is to distract us.

In other words, pay no attention the problems reported about msfs2024. Nothing to see there. Look! Up in the sky! Forget about lagging fps in flight sim. MS Asobo launched a couple dozen of these large inexpensive war surplus drones purchased at a government auction.

I didn't watch the entire "Real or Staged" video, but I have a couple of observations and suppositions:

First, some of those videos clearly show manned aircraft like passenger jets, proving once again that the average person isn't very good at recognizing what one could consider to be a UFO as opposed to a known man-made aircraft.  Most of them are well-illuminated and look and fly like man=made drones, so the UFO/Alien angle doesn't apply.

Second, this clearly isn't a single person or even a small group of pranksters doing this.  It would take dozens of drone pilots in coordination and communicating with each other to pull something like this off.  It could be, but I doubt it.

Third, this could be foreign agents who have infiltrated the USA(easy to do as we've all seen over the past several years), and they're using these drones to spy on us.  Just like with the spy balloons, the govt. incompetents in charge don't know what to do about it.

Lastly, it wouldn't surprise me to find that it's the good ole U.S. govt., once again doing stuff to create mass hysteria and panic, for what aim I don't know, but it probably ain't good for 99% of us.

3:30 "do not appear to emit radio frequencies". Sounds like no transponder?

My take on that was that there was no RF signal being transmitted. With the DJI hobby type drones, they transmit battery life, temp, location back to the transmitter so when I heard that, I took it as a device (drone) that has been preprogramed on a flight route and then just let go to do its thing.

I have a mixed bag of feelings about it all as being a UAS Part 107 drone operator/pilot. As far as the footage where it has lights, theres really just no scale to compare size. Red, Green, White lights..yes planes have those but so do drone. Additionally, I feel that for anything to travel some distance, its going to be more of a fixed wing type drone over a quad-copter which would also keep it looking like planes.

The whole idea of law enforcement and local/state political leaders wanting more power, I dont see the FAA giving up that without a fight. The idea of we dont know what its doing so it needs to prove to "me" "us" that its okay or we shoot it down is anti-American in a free world. When I first started flying drone back during the Phantom 1 days, no one really saw them before and so when they did, their first reaction was in awe and wonder but then quickly, they would go dark with all the ways it could be used to do harm.

I thought a lot about that and cam to believe that as humans, we have no natural defense like claws, fangs or venom...instead we use tools. So I felt like as humans we are preprogrammed to look at everything as a tool that could be used to protect or hunt with.

I find it more curious that we arent talking more about where they are coming/being launched from. Especially being that that are coming from the "ocean". Launching a drone from a boat at night and not being detected miffs me more than the amount of recent reporting's. Not exactly sure how much more a drone filming at night can capture of detail over all the spy satellites that are above us can do. So I feel its not about "spying" as far as video and photography goes.

All in all, based off the track record of how many reportings have been made and not one law agency or person has been able to state more that "I saw it in the sky..not sure what it is, where it came from, where it went", that soon this will all go away and be a nothing burger that gets filed away with all the other reports of seeing something but never physically coming into contact with it.

Another team could just look at the Jets’ record to learn what they need to know: 4-10.

There is a company in China that recently earned the Guiness World Record for the number of drones used in an ariel display. Slightly more than 10,000 drones all being simultaneously controlled by one computer!

I know you're being funny, but why would this Senator call for using this radar?

The fact that this not-so-smart Senator even knows about this radar system means that the .gov types had this whole scheme all ready to go.  They want to buy hundreds or thousands of these radar systems and install them all over the country.  Then they'll create a whole new sub-department of the FAA and hire hundreds of new .gov workers to monitor the skies over every city in the country.

I have said before that I believe these drones need to be regulated, but now I am almost certain that this whole incident was likely staged to be used as a pretext to give the govt. more power and authority over the skies.

I wonder what else they could install along with the radars?  Maybe more surveillance equipment?  Mmmm...

Remember, these folks care nothing about you.  All they care about is maintaining their power and making more money at your expense, which means they need as many means of control as they can get.

I am not so skeptical of our government officials' motives, even though they may often be unwise and support impractical ideas instead of more sensible ones.
