No bandwith issues here. I got the "insufficient bandwith" message on the day of the release and then never again. 

I love streaming. Keeps my harddrives nice and clean. No more downloading hundreds and hundreds of gigs of data. 

Hard to imagine screwing up worse than these guys have. I expect heads to roll.

I don't agree with you, when you stream you are always dependent on the other party, their mistakes are also your mistakes and that seems to be clearly shown in MSFS2024. Furthermore, I would like to be able to access my purchased scenery and aircraft as I want and that doesn't really seem to work in the new SIM either. I'd rather accept the higher usage of my own memory and if the sim then has fewer band white issues and runs more smoothly, that's definitely better than if the sim is constantly loading data at the same time and this creates stutters and blurry landscapes in the sim, that's just bu**sh** if you ask me !!

In the end you will have consumed a lot more data with streaming then when you got everything in a (few) downloads.

I don't feel sad for anyone still using MSFS2020 just as I don't feel sad for anyone still using FSX or FS9 etc. I lump them all in the same group now. 

I do feel sad for anyone using MSFS2024 and getting bandwidth errors as I have not seen one. I've had nothing but 100% error free glorious simming since launch day. I almost feel bad for saying that.

Yep, did 12 hours direct non stop yesterday in the 777, was glorious.   About an hour into a 10 hour flight today, again no issues...

I feel sad for someone who groups everyone who doesn't think like them together because they aren't doing the same thing as them and then needs to let everyone know how they aren't "sad"  for them because they don't think what you think or do what you do.  People feel sad for those choosing not to use FS2024, what a load of nonsense. 

Your statement and mindset is a lot sadder than someone's choice of sim...   I don't feel bad for saying it at all.  

Pathetic how some people think over a simulator.  That comment says more about the individual making it than people still using 2020 that's for sure!!!  

I also disagree with those continuing to knock 2024.  We get it, I get it...   It didn't meet expectations but you can also do your own thing without having to bash another in the process. 

Now I remember why I hadn't been here for a few days while I was dealing with real life.

You should not,  because i miss nothing, i am realy a lucky Camper with my MSFS2020 at least at this stage MSFS2024 is, maybe mid next year ore later, we will see how the development updates change and fix things..

Yesterday, Monday16th MSFS 2020 was unusable, continual Bandwidth errors. I gave up and did something more exciting, shopping with the wife!! Today, totally different. I had a perfect flight with the FBW A320. Almost all my settings at ultra in 4K. The snow at LOWI was spectacular. In general things seem to have improved here in the UK ( I'm hoping it is not just me) since the launch of 2024. At the moment I have little incentive to pay out for 2024.

Sounds like I'm not alone in having the issues. Sounds like it's based on location - I'm in Norway. I've tried a bit with and without VPN to see it it makes a difference.

But are you getting warning messages from inside the sim or just bad connection in general?

Just inside the sim - no issues with internet in general.

Also there is a setting in msfs2024 options for multiplayer server choice. Try setting that to West USA (even if you are not using multiplayer).

I have no loss of connection or slow loading yesterday or today. It is exactly the same as always: at least twice as fast as 2020 was. I have not used any tricks or have any special knowledge. It just works for me. I have received almost zero notifications of losing server speed from msfs2024. And the very few I did get, were flagged as back to normal within 10 seconds.

When I click on fly now it takes from 32 to 42 seconds for the flight to load, it took about 90 seconds in 2020. To boot up 2024 takes me about 2-1/2 minutes. It took 5 minutes in msfs2020. It has never even once taken as much as 3 minutes to boot 2024.
