January 18, 20251 yr Anyone who wanted a high quality study level Airbus A320 series aircraft for MSFS would already have bought the Fenix, so it's not surprising the FSL hasn't created any waves. If iFly had released a 737 NG, they would've had a similar reaction. January 18, 20251 yr The only thing they can't seem to fix in the Fenix A 320, is the AP disconnecting when you are departing a runway, with a sharp turn on route. In order to re-engage AP, you have to push the yoke forward and do a short dive, then press the AP button. Maybe the real Airbus does this but I kind of doubt it. Haven't flown the AS 320 in awhile, and first flight today, it happened again.

I can confirm this has never happened to me as an Airbus passenger 🙂 FS2024 • PMDG 738, 77F • FSL A321 • A2A Comanche, Aerostar • BS Baron, Bonanza, Caravan Pro • JF Tomahawk • TAOG H500C BeyondATC • GSX Pro • ChasePlane & Flow Pro • TDS GTNXi • FSUIPC • AutoFPS • RealTurb 9800X3D B650E • ROG OC RTX 5090 • 64GB DDR5-6000 • VKB Gladiator, STECS, T-Rudder • Tobii 5 • ISP 1 Gbps

January 18, 20251 yr This first flight of the Fenix, after a long break, is turning into a disaster. 38,000 feet, I get an overspeed warning, then toga lock, it starts climbing over my cruise altitude, AP goes off. Aborting Flight. I suspect that this "fix" for 2024, has broken it for 2020. Oh well.. Well, I restarted PC, MSFS, and Flight, and now everything seems to be working fine. Actually I've had that too - what Bob experienced - twice in my last 10 Fenix flights, both on 2020 or 2024. Never had that in the years prior to that, so it's not impossible it has something to do with that. January 18, 20251 yr I love fenix don't get me wrong. But strangely I just had this happen the other day. Was at cruise. All good. Went upstairs, came back 5 min later to the cockpit alarms. Recovered it before a big problem. But still. I hadn't even considered it was the plane. Thought it was just a crazy wind shift/spike. But maybe it was the plane? 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

January 18, 20251 yr I've had it happen to me once prior to the 2024 compatibility update, I just assumed it was bad weather data (rapid wind shift, or OAT spike) messing it up. Brian W KPAE
January 18, 20251 yr I haven't used Fenix for a long time but I always remember problems with the AP, in the end it turned out to be the turbulence configuration, then they commented that it had to be reduced in the configuration. It was around the time that bored with MFS Bugs (I'm a father of two babies and have very little free time) I installed xplane 12 + Toliss and no longer looked back on Airbus.

You are imagining something that isn't. I've probably done 50 fenix flights (FS2020) last 4 months and only 1 flight had the issue. January 18, 20251 yr Commercial Member I can look at adding a slightly unrealistic "AP lock" for when the windshifts cause the AP to kick out. I, and we, ultimately can't really do much about MSFS unsmoothed weather updates knocking out AP besides add this option for people. Probably worth adding as we do get quite a few customers, such as Bob above, stating it's a problem with Fenix as opposed to just the aircraft following it's Airbus design specs on when to kick out the AP and what for. The disconnect logic on our side is, and has been, relatively unchanged for several months now. Aamir Thacker
