my experience: after each and every update, including betas

Yes I agree there is a value in what they're trying to do w/ this but sadly, 3-4 hours worthy, could not get beyond the Welcome Screen w/o essentially 2020 locking up necessitating ending the process in TM.  I'll try again w/ the next NV driver update but for now I don't do betas and updates are not frequent enough to care.  Again of the 25 minutes worth of 'pre-flight' done every time up copy/paste after an update takes all of 15 seconds?

It would be a bit funny if all that is required is a simple copy-paste - or refreshing the nvidia app was mentioned as well I think 😅

I’ll watch ISP and SimHanger videos to see what they’re doing.

Why don't you simply try it yourself w/o the 'navigation':

1.  Go to Techpowerup.com and download the latest DLSS file it's right there at the top of the list.

2.  Drop it into your C:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Content folder and simply drop it in just be aware it's in the downloaded folder, nvngx_dlss.dll, so don't just drop in the folder of course as you're replacing whatever nvngx_dlss.dll happens to be there now.

Make sure you're set up in sim to use it, NVSR w/ DLAA.

I'll watch also Cpt_Piett's youtubes 😄. if you take a break from Cpt_Piett's video production studios and have a minute, could you please have a look at my only issue in this whole thingamajig:

"to add to the confusion:

using the default profile, as recommended by IslandSim, how do I scroll down to Section 7 and 8 that you are showing in your youtube, for some reason I can only get down as far as #6 - SLI. and that is finis terra for me.

only if I select the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, do I  get #7 and then "Other" and further down "Unknown". but no section #8.

and another strange issue: I can choose between 2 different Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 profiles in the drop down list box.  what gives?"

Interesting… Simhanger used DLSS swapper then DLSS override in the nvidia app. Without the swapper, it didn’t work.

Haha I’ve got my assistant handling the video production for today 😁 I saw your post 16 hrs ago or something but was too puzzled to find anything meaningful to say about it. Are you using the latest inspector without customsettingnames.xml?

Edit (unrelated): The DLSS files got uploaded to TechPowerUp yesterday. But usually we don’t only replace the files (manually or with the swapper). So let’s say we replace the file - then how do we select profile K?

I am putting this here so that it doesn't get swamped in the other posts... Lots of mis-info.

So first off, you do not need to download any DLL's or swap any DLL's.

1.) Download new NVidia drivers. Install them

2.) Download new NVidia app. Install it.

3.) Restart PC.

4.) go in new Nvidia app, select MSFS2024,  and make sure that in DLSS override - Model presets is set to 'frame generation - Latest'.

5.) Download NVidia inspector. You need new version 2.4.0.8 https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases/download/2.4.0.8/nvidiaProfileInspector.zip

6.) Run it and change the settings as per my pictures below.

7.) That's i! All done, go fly MSFS2024 in new DLSS4.

nvngx_dlssg.dll version 310.2.0.0 is the latest DLL for DLSS4 framegen

Isn't that for RTX50 series only?

If anyone has problems using the frame gen mod, IslandSimPilot explains how to do it in this video. Sorry, I can’t get a time stamp using my iPad.

It’s for both 40 and 50 series.

The latest driver containing the logic to load the DLSS files caused my sim to crash, but one can still use the latest DLSS files by simply dropping them in after downloading at Techpowerup.com.

In today’s video IslandSimPilot uses a customsettingnames.xml file with inspector. Here’s the .xml file. @turbomax maybe give this a try.

That being said,  if it works as purported, should there be an FPS increase, increased smoothness?

I'm not up to speed with this so wondering what it does.

Thank you.
