The clouds are pretty bad with DLSS-4.

Contemplating going back to the old driver and DLSS-3.

Maybe DLSS-4 is not well configured for MSFS?

Just saw this on MSFS forums - maybe why sim is not shutting down Ill try it now report back

Uninstalling the nVidia App (not the driver) which is causing failed sim starts for some, also stopped the crash on exit events for me.

It downscales to a lower render resolution. Then DLSS uses some AI-tech to upscale so that the image appears to be at a higher resolution. Not sure if I explained that very well...

Note: ultra quality is no longer available.

Meant to ask, what are the two orange DLSS tweaks? How does one go about trying those 2 settings? I am finding that DLAA is just bit too much on performance. I’d rather step down to one of those than going right to Quality.

GeForce app removal Didnt work sim does not shut down I had to Quit Steam then wait a bit for Steam to ask me to shut down 2024 - then wait a bit and it shut down sim - so it must be beta issue never had this issue before beta no big deal it will get sorted out

Some good news after removing Geforce app my sim consistently today was 4 mins to main screen after uninstall app 2mins thats nice - if that remains true I will keep that uninstalled for now - seems like a new sim for the better

For those with issues in 2024 sim wont shut down heres the answer

I figured it out you have to alt +enter before leaving game - full screen leaving the game is the problem folks try it - probably a driver issue - this was on last driver not the new one I don't like the new driver for 40 series cards - clouds were awful - thanks

It’s possible to set custom scalings https://github.com/emoose/DLSSTweaks. I haven’t tried it though.

Just followed the OP tutorial complemented with the video by @Cpt_Piett, and I am nos on DLSS4, with DLAA in the Graphics settings in FS2024, and with 60 FPS with the Inibuilds 330 !!!

I'm more than satisfied specially because I notice no significative hit in terms of GPU / CPU temps, which are pretty much on pair with my previous TAA + 30 FPS limit.

So, overall, this is a winner for me 👍

Well, I have confirmed through the reg hack that I am running DLSS4. Tried DLSS-DLAA which wasn’t bad to be sure but I find TAA to be still much crisper. I’m on a 4090 for reference. I’m with @Richard Sennett  , gonna roll back to 566.36 and just get on with it set at TAA.

I've just discovered that with the inspector it is possible:

I've just tested Ultra Quality using balance in the sim, but I don't see a great improvement.

Here's a video I came across that compares TAA vs DLSS3 vs DLSS4 in MSFS24 in the Fenix A321 and default 737Max. Disappointing findings for these aircraft with glass cockpits.
