  • I'm not sure if DLSS swapper is going to be the saviour here. As these files are nowadays handled by the latest Nvidia driver. Well, that's the way I understand it - things are still very messy. The l

It’s for both 40 and 50 series.

Has there been a boost in performance with DLSS-4. I haven't seen any posts claiming boost in performance.

That being said,  if it works as purported, should there be an FPS increase, increased smoothness?

I'm not up to speed with this so wondering what it does.

Thank you.

It would in part depend on how you are setup already w/ regard to CPU and GPU loading.   If you're substantially CPU limited it would not help much I would not think.   Again, this is SO EASY TO TEST just go do it, nothing to it.

Thanks, but its moot, I have found I don't have an RTX card😪

not really fixes it, but it is the bare minimum for PimaxCrystalLight VR resolution:

16.5 megapixel in VR. yes you heard that right. compare that with a 2D 4K monitor's lowly 8.3 megapixel resolution. 🤣

we are the ones that would need DLLS4's MFG multiframe generation more than anyone. that's why we are so dependent on DLSS4, as Nvidia FrameGeneration is not available in VR. 120 fps in 2D can easily boil down to 15 fps with everything else the same.  🤣

Ah I dont do VR so I never consider that - oops 🤣

Did you experience a performance boost, and if so, how significant?

No it was wonky panning was inside and out was a bit laggy and shimmering - I tried everything with my monitor settings also there was some shimmering going on and blurry text in cockpit compared to TAA

You can also notice the text that shows the DLSS version reg edit gets all wavy when you pan around

I will try one more time with the latest NI settings in a bit - its all set just need to launch sim

Maybe someone could do a performance comparison, e.g. using CapFrameX. Or if someone already have done it (MSFS subreddit, official forums etc), I’d love to see it 😊

Performance and image quality have not been significantly improved, and I haven’t seen that many people in the forum saying DLSS 4 has been transformative. There may have been some peripheral improvements, but perhaps not visible to the naked eye.

Some bench marks tests would be awesome.

Thanks for posting Mark’s video. Works great in 2020. Will try 2024 later.

Nope its a no go for me to blurry and laggy panning screen tear and shimmering - its gotten worse instead of better

Before loading this new Nvidia driver DLSS was ok still not my go to now its a mess - I'm dumping this stuff

Also this is a new one just picked a random airport down south area USA the houses and commercial buildings were all green - took 4 mins to start sim yesterday was 2.5 mins - feels sluggish prob more folks getting back to 2024 and its the weekend

This sim is so reliant on the internet speed when not ideal its a struggle - no driver tweaks are going to fix that

So dump this stuff and put back to factory

Oh and 2024 wont shut down after getting out of sim now consistently what a pia - I'm going to roll back to the last Nvidia driver this one is terrible

All of these issues started with this driver

What is the general consensus with DLSS v4 setting, Quality, DLAA, Balanced or one of the Performance ones? I am using Quality right now.

Hi folks. I know that the DLSS information display on the bottom of the screen comes from the registry change I made.

But where does that display at the top come from? How do I remove it?

Thanks once again .......
