February 23, 20251 yr The only issue I have had in the almost 3,000 hours of MS 2020, is the other day, it reset all my settings, except controller settings. That was it, other than that, no problems.

I'm seriously not trying to be a jerk. Do I have to answer? Of course not, as I think you're probably seeing ghosts where there are none. Try to keep the things simple, just as they are, or maybe trying to seek for a position as a moderator of this forum. Anyway, we all know that many users make frequent modifications to the sim, install new drivers more often than necessary, use complex interfaces for flight controls, do not check their addons when installing them and then have complaints about the base sim, which has nothing to do with the tweakings they've made, so it's difficult to help sometimes. February 24, 20251 yr For me .. about a month ago I started up 2020 and it did a small update .. 375mb or something like that, I flew all day no problems. The next day I fired up 2020 and as it was loading right before it got to the main screen it crashed to desktop, tried again and same thing, waited a day .. fired the sim up and same thing, googled the issue and no answers. So I re-installed the sim and was able to fully boot into the sim again, but now after 2-3 hour GA flights the sim crashed to desktop as soon as my wheels touched down on landing, googled it with no results. So I wiped my hard drive and completely re-installed Windows 11 and 2020, duplicated all drivers (including NVidia version that had previously been rock solid for 1.5 years) duplicated all Windows, NVidia Profile, and 2020 settings that for the past 1.5 years had given me a very solid and smooth 2020 sim .. and now I get stutters on the ground I’ve never had. So I decided to get 2024, installed it and the latest NVidia drivers minus the NVidia app .. and 2024 is working smoothly with no stutters while 2020 is still a stutter mess on the ground. Perhaps it’s something else, I do have an i13900k .. but I’ve under volted it the whole 1.5 years I’ve had it, and I’ve always held off on Windows updates until I finally had no choice, but everything with 2020 seemed to go to h@ll after that little 2020 update a month ago, before that I could run Fenix, PMDG, etc. with GSX, and FSLTL on pretty high settings, and with 2020 on ultra with TAA and 200 TLOD and 200 OLOD .. smooth and stable with hardly any micro stutters .. for a year and a half! Now I’m just running 2024 and doing mostly mountain/bush flying with butter smooth performance, but I miss my airliners in 2020. I wish Asobo had just left 2020 alone 😞 Specs are Intel i13900k, ASUS ROG Z790 Mobo, ASUS RTX 4090, Corsair water cooling, 64gb ram, Two 2gb M2 drives. Chris Strobel KSNA
February 25, 20251 yr Yep issues for sure the last week or so good and hit or miss CTD. I have had 8 CTD after loading just tonight no changes ZERO (0) simply ridiculous. I never thought xplane had a chance but starting to rethink. 2024 is simply awful. Yes I can walk around a plane but it flys just terribly. The runway lights are the size of Volkswagen and annoying.. I think they want us on 2024 kicking and screaming... Edited February 25, 20251 yr by cchiozza Chris Chiozza
February 25, 20251 yr MS 2020 works perfectly fine for me. Had a few crashes to my own well doing but that is it and much more stable than what I had in FSX days.
February 25, 20251 yr No issues with MSFS on both pc’s. Doing 2-3 flights per week.
