I don't usually change to the latest driver, unless there's an absolute demonstrated advantage. No crashes today, for instance. Randall Rocke

I bet is won't perform with as smoothly as 2024. 2024 very stable. 2020 is a mess (unstable) today. I'm not sure what is wrong. I guess I'll have to do like some of you all above are doing. February 10, 20251 yr Put all your graphics settings back to default in the sim, and clear your rolling cache, and then see how you go on from there. Changes in graphics setting over time may screw up the stability of a sim.☺️ (by the user) Edited February 10, 20251 yr by seamaster55
February 10, 20251 yr 3 computer crashes today. Blaming you PC when MSFS misbehaves is silly. Very frustrating sometimes. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
February 11, 20251 yr I've no crashes, but every couple minutes a stutter for about 1 or 2 seconds. It messes up VR tracking. But none in 2024, only 2020. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. You are wrong because it is always frustrating as I messed with hardware for years. The idea that MSFS misbehaves is not silly but unlikely. The reason is METRICS. BTW, almost all of my sim crashes were due to memory. Buy an OC'd GPU if you need it but best just to go with MSFS 2024 which fixes the main core block. dd
February 11, 20251 yr I had loading issues with MSFS2020 after upgrading to 572.16 and 572.24. I could occasionally get into the sim but it would often permanently hang when loading a flight and occasionally CTD. Running a 13900k and 4090. After going back and forth with some trial and error I found the problem for me to be the newest version of the Nvidia app. As of now I have reverted to an older driver and the previous version of the Nvida app and have had no issues. Hopefully they will release a more stable version soon, there were slight improvements to performance with DLSS4.

February 11, 20251 yr Am I the only person who ONLY uses the ultra stable STUDIO drivers for my nvidia card and not the regular 'beta' updates that the gaming community needs for its never ending fps world record attempts? I've almost never had a sim crash from any driver I've installed. I can't actually remember a single gpu crash in msfs but I said almost to be safe. Russell Gough SE London
