February 9, 20251 yr Past 3 years of flawless enjoyable flights in MSFS 2020 from GA to Airliners, now every flight ends in CTD, thinking it might be the latest Nvidia 572.16 driver, I rolled it back but still, the same problem exists. I don't have the this issue in MSFS 2024. Eventviewer tells me that Flight simulator.exe is the culprit ("Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.38.2.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\FlightSimulator.exe") Is anyone having this problem in 2020 and can anyone offer a fix. February 9, 20251 yr My solution to the unresolved was to create a back up of my online store folder and do a full clean install of win & sim. Today I keep a back of of my initial Win 10 install & Online store folder, just in case I ever get into trouble. MSFS

February 10, 20251 yr Author I'd like to go totally MSFS 2024 but I've got a lot of 3rd party aircraft from 2020 that aren't yet compatible with 2024 and the default scenery textures for Australia in 2024 are pretty ordinary and in need of some attention. YBCG

February 10, 20251 yr I am still using 2020, and am finding it working really well. Smooth flights, no stutters. At the moment it meets all my requirements.

Actually - it is still the same scenery in 2020 - just stuffed up further by Asobo in 2024 especially the trees If it wasn't for Orbx - et al - the cities would still be as they were in the first edition of 2020 Edited February 10, 20251 yr by jaytee73

Take that Driver out, shoot it then run over it with a truck and burn the remains. It caused me no end of grief on my system and I only ended up (hopefully) sorting it by doing a full uninstall (use DDU) and reverting to whatever driver windows update gave me. I did try at first simply rolling back a few versions manually but that only partially solved it, it was allowing window to grab a driver through an update that fixed it for me...good luck

Using the same graphics driver as you, flying in a variety of short-medium range airliners (PMDG, iFly, Feneix, FBW, Heawinds etc) pretty stable with DLSS 4 and a 4 series graphics card. Only thing I notiiced is perfomrance in heavy traffic and large airports with Photogrmmetry cities can be a bit choppier than the previous driver, but not enough that I can be bothered to revert in my case.
