Way cheaper than the one for the PMDG 777😂. I guess I'll need to give this bird some more love. AFAIK, there was only one operator in this corner of the world

This is promising - Do I need to simply redownload to get EFB or is it a upgrade?

It's a paid upgrade.

In Canada, Dash 8s are still pretty common. WestJet, Air Canada, and Porter, to name only three airlines, still fly them.

Joel Murray @ CYVR (actually, somewhere about halfway between CYNJ and CZBB)

MJC has always cared … it’s odd that the MSFS “crew” seem to feel abandoned by MJC because there is no MSFS version …. how about the other way around, maybe MJC feel abandoned because customers stopped using P3D?  In niche markets the road is two way not one way.

The "two way" you mention is I give them money they give me aircraft. That done loyalty has been honored both ways. If I choose to move onto another Sim I don't expect MJC to give me my money back that's my loss. If people move on to other sims and becasuse MJC don't make products for that sim then that's MJC's loss for not keeping up with the times.

Or... it simply depends on the fact that for some uses of flight simulators (desktop), the Graphics sugar offered by other platforms even if great visually, doesn't play the most important role if "training for RL operations" is what matters...

Maybe they simply find out that the investment they would have to make in porting their products to one of those platforms wouldn't compensate, so, instead, they chose to continue supporting a good old platform that is also far from dead, if not for other reason for the simple fact that it is supported by one of the major rw aviation (military mostly) player.

We should clarify.  They never said they made a choice to abandon getting the sim over to MSFS.  They said they were having issues losing their modeler.    I would guess they have a very small team.

And they say this too,

"Some readers are going to throw shade at the P3D engine or the fact that we still develop for it, but bear in mind we service this platform not only on the edutainment spectrum, but also the Commercial as well."

And,

"P3D surely does not appeal to the flight sim community as it once did, but for commercial use it is just about the only viable platform, with which we have to keep our products aligned."

Overall they do say things are advancing within their business.

I have no issue with the fact that MJC aren't in either of the to MS oifferings I have it in FSX and P3D and would I get it if they brought it across absolutly, I just disagree that the reason for them not doing it is because they don;t feel loved anymore or that they consider MSFS in ewither form inferior.

No you misunderstand what I'm saying, as I said above I have no issue with the fact that MJC aren't in either of the two MS offerings I have it in FSX and P3D and would I get it if they brought it across absolutely, I just disagree that the reason for them not doing it is because they don't feel loved anymore or that they consider MSFS in either form inferior. As for this thread and others still going 5 years on is irrelevant.
