March 17, 20251 yr No, of course it's not a parody that XP 12 is the best simulator to - e.g. visit the Maldives 😉. The parody is aimed at something else. I'm bolding it here so that everyone really gets it and understands it 😄 .  Watch my YT-channel: https://www.youtube.com/@flyingcarpet1340/ Customer of X-Plane, Aerofly, Flightgear, MSFS.
March 17, 20251 yr Is this default Xp12 scenery? Looks great! Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
March 18, 20251 yr Author No, of course not 😉. It is a mix of Ortho4XP, Simheaven X-World and some parts which I created and added myself (forests on some islands where no one was in X-World, the picturesque Maldivian houses on water, the piers for the seaplanes and some other nitty gritty details). Watch my YT-channel: https://www.youtube.com/@flyingcarpet1340/ Customer of X-Plane, Aerofly, Flightgear, MSFS.

March 18, 20251 yr And it is fine to have a Plattform you can do this. My Youtube Channel Hardware Intel i7 14700k, Gigabyte Z690 UD, Gigabyte RTX 4070TI Gaming OC, Corsair Vegeance RGB 32GB Kit CL16
March 18, 20251 yr In 2024 you would save putting trees even if you want to make a scenario in Iceland.
March 18, 20251 yr Commercial Member Personally, I prefer the customization. Â I don't like to be locked into a sim, where I don't have a say in what I can or can't add to it.

And it could have looked even better, if I hadn't activated accidentally the wrong of the 2 sets of textures which I have. Rethi Rah (where I landed the first time with the Twotter). Wrong textures Correct (=better) textures Watch my YT-channel: https://www.youtube.com/@flyingcarpet1340/ Customer of X-Plane, Aerofly, Flightgear, MSFS.

Well ... yes 😉.  BTW, 2 other comparisons between "wrong" (taken from the video*) and "right". Wrong: Right: * During editing the video I was wondering why the houses "below" the plane are in "deep" water and not in the shallow water of an atoll. Here they are like they should. March 19, 20251 yr Author You don't have to draw them yourself, somebody (or many) did that already for you. You only have to download and copy the existing atoll boundaries with JOSM and paste them into your own 'project' instead of drawing them. Copy from here ... ... and paste them Not for exe-doubleclickers 😄, but also no rocket science.  One more tip - in case it's unknown. Since I had to work a lot with reverse throttle when parking the seaplane (very rewarding BTW): I knew that you can reverse toggle with a button, but that's very quirky. So I searched for a solution - it's much easier and more realistic with this. Miles ahead of ... censored 😄 (this only as a side note ...). March 22, 20251 yr Author Oohh ... you mean this very ‘best flight simulator in the world’ that just blew up the settings and community folder of millions of users? And now seriously - the default MSFS is nowhere near enough to achieve a result like the one shown above. You would also have to make additional efforts there. However, without any additional effort you can get your settings and community folder ... Oh, we've been over this before 🤣. Not a parody. It’s not the right forum I know but I wanted to launch that sim yesterday to make some comparisons and that mandatory update messed everything up and I was stucked. All my addons installed physically and my settings are all gone! The worst usability of any sim I have used so far (in 36 years…) i9 12900k, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM
