When I and others posted this over 3 days ago, they were still allowing transfers. I am aware that they are no longer allowing transfers to contrail. Why quote me on something that has been known in this topic since Friday?   

Not a great business decision to help some and decide not to help others.

Sound like they did it at first then got overwhelmed. There's presumably no benefit to Contrail in transferring your purchase and indeed will have to backend many GBs of data for free for a purchase made elsewhere. I can see why they'd end this. 

FWIW, I buy most of my stuff from the marketplace unless it's something where I need a configurator to turn things off. One thing about P3D and FSX that got annoying was hunting all over the internet for updates from a ton of different vendors. It's nice now to have all this in one place.

How about Asobo gets it's head out of it's rear and gets it up on Marketplace? What's the holdup with these updates? I unfortunately bought my first 25 airports from the Marketplace and rarely see any kind of update on any of them. I quit buying off of MP some time ago, but unfortunately I bought the CRJ when it first came out on MP. Not even any comment by Asobo letting you know when it might be available. And why were they simply not prepared ahead of time to get it up? Aerosoft announced it early enough. Looks like poor business practices and planning to me. I was looking forward to flying the new V2 like two weeks ago. Then it was delayed and now I'm told I can't even get it from MP yet. Why did I spend money on this again? I feel like I am still not the true owner of this product. I feel like I'm leasing it. I'm sure it's not rocket science.

Same here. Bought through MP. Not even a whiff of info.

The MP is the best thing to happen to flight simulation IMO.

My update life is so much simpler now and I no longer need 10 accounts to get my stuff. 

If the CRJ isn't there yet then I appreciate the delay rather than jumping in

I feel your pain regarding MS Marketplace updates, but it is Microsoft that are responsible for that, not Asobo.

I don't agree.  I don't know why opening up 3 apps or so is such a burden?  A couple times a week I check all of them and I'm done.  In return I get addons that are not encrypted allowing me to use relevant third party mods that would otherwise be blocked.  Also airports can have the options/settings that the designer intended.  Therefore you don't get certain titles where the retail version you can turn off ugly static aircraft but not marketplace versions.  The other thing I really don't like about marketplace is how long the actual updating and downloads takes.  World/city/country updates are a nightmare.  I wouldn't want to add hundreds of 3rd party airports to that.

Counter point to that is just how easy it is to manage stuff with the marketplace. Huge fan of it for sceneries especially.

When 2024 came out, it didn't even cross my mind that I would even need to manage any them. I just booted the sim and they were all there. It's just really helpful.

If I had the same volume of sceneries in third parties as I do in the marketplace, I'd still be sitting here downloading all of them.
