Most STABLE nVidia Driver in 4/2026

So when DLSS4 came on the scene there were multiple steps needed (download the DLL files for DLSS4, modify settings in nvidia Inspector, etc.) to get the benefit of DLSS4. Is all that still required if updating to the latest nvidia drivers? Or is it simply a matter of installing the latest driver through the nvidia app or through NVCleanInstall?

If it makes any difference I have a 4090 card.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

My understanding is it would still require the various steps.  I did see a video from VR flightsim guy a couple months ago where he was doing a bit simpler process that skipped a step or two but I don't remember the details offhand.  I never went anywhere with it since I was still on a driver that didn't support it until a few days ago.  I decided at this point to just hold off for SU2 for 2024 which will natively include support for it.

This. Works fine for me, both 2020 and 2024. Specs in signature.

I've held off this DLSS 4 business as it seemed like a bit of a faff and I was getting decent performance anyway. However, after updating to the latest drivers I read this thread and decided to do the above.

Works a treat!👍 Nice performance gain and overall appearance - especially ground detail - seems crisper. Very pleased.

I also use a Gsync monitor. Not having any problems here....
