Apparently Carenado released another Bonanza

Featured Replies

Now that I have flown this airplane for a week or two, I have to say that I really like it!

The main instruments: BK ADI and HSI have been reworked for this release and are graphically outstanding... they remind me of my old favorites, the RXP FLT gauge packs.  Quite a step up from their V35 release.

Since I look at these instruments all the time, that is very welcome.. 😊

Lets see what they do with the reported bugs.. I am hopeful that we will see a positive outcome..  In my interactions with Carenado, they seem to be aware and working on fixes..   Fingers crossed..

I like having dual GTNs.... maybe crossfill is coming soon 😉  And I made a paint... TimHH and a few others are working on them too

If you're thinking about buying this, keep in mind that Black Square has a new Bonanza Professional series in the pipeline: https://www.justflight.com/articles/new-black-square-msfs-aircraft-developme

I also caved. A few bugs as has been mentioned and yes, a little overly sensitive but, for me, the best Carenado available in 2024 as of today and the only one I will keep installed. Very happy to spe

Same, been flying this one exclusively for the last week. Very nice.

Did you notice the pitot heat can't be turned off after stopping the engine?

If I forget to turn it off before shutting down, then clicking on it does nothing. Odd.

I haven't fallen in love with a Carenado since FSX but this one is lovable indeed.

Mine has as a default GPS unit, the Garmin 530. How does one swap it out for the GTN750 (like I have in my other planes?)

Tab to open the EFB.  At the bottom right, click on additional apps,  F33.

Anyone aware of a clear window mod for this?

I don't think anyone has made a tint free one yet, no. Nobody seems to do the small mods they did for 2020 anymore.  I don't think it is as straight forward as it was.

For 2020 users (as I am), can anyone else confirm that it appears that all of the red warning lights throughout the cockpit, as well as every single autopilot status light, seem to appear to be on/illuminated at all times? I can't provide a screenshot at this moment, but in using the aircraft for 2020 very briefly yesterday (yes it was just released for 2020 too), I couldn't determine AP status (at least during a brief flight during the day) and again, it looked like I was suffering from low voltage and any number of issues that each little red light indicated.

The windows have a green tint which may not be apparent at first, but if you're using head tracking, lean your head to the left through the side window and you'll see how much the color changes. Or maybe don't do this, because after you notice it it becomes extremely annoying...

There are two mods on FSTO that fix the green tint in the 185. I posted a comment in one of the threads asking if the author might consider doing the same for the F33, and he said maybe at some point but he hasn't done much with this plane yet. Fingers crossed!
