BEAUTIFUL MODEL of the WORLD MSFS 2024 Compatibility

Featured Replies

I am curious if anyone knows if the BMW original subscription airports are MSFS 2024 Compatible. Also, I am aware that the BMW & AmSim airports are now under Glideslope.pro, but I am not sure if the BMW airports fall under this umbrella. Thanks in advance!

Cheers, Pete

KMRY works great with or without the recent 2024 update.

They all seem to work. At least all the European ones do. LEBB has been tarted up by Asobo and is the better choice though imo.

“Hello Gerard ,

All airports are compatible, but we are creating native versions for 2024.

MSFS 2024 displays textures in more detail (especially the apron) and offers better performance using the new LOD system.

Therefore, we are completely reworking the models and improving the textures for MSFS 2024.

Genoa 2024 has been reworked for a long time and is three weeks away from release in the Marketplace.

Myself I have a giant 500+ ft palmtree next to the runway after using the 2020 version in 2024

This may be because the latest versions of SDK work differently with the VECTOR PLACEMENT function. But ASOBO did not take this into account in the simulator updates.”

Besides this, there are still problems with the transparency of the apron and polygons with grass. We are all waiting for an update.

Reviving this... most of my BMW addon airports are installed via ORBX. Now that ORBX does not sell those sceneries how do I get an upgrade path to MSFS2024 and/or product updates?

I have several of their airports.... thanks

Pete, I purchased several airports from iniBuilds & Orbx. All I had to do was setup an account on their website and then follow this message in their FAQ, all my former purchases are under my account and I now get updates or a small fee to upgrade to native MSFS2024:

Step 1: Register in Our Store

  • Sign up on our website using the same email that you used to purchase the product from another store.

Step 2: Submit a Transfer Request

  • Send an email from your registered email address to [email protected] with the subject: “Transfer – Your Name – Airport ICAO”
  • Attach the original purchase confirmation email from the other store.

    • Forwarded emails or screenshots are NOT accepted—only the original email as an attached file. Click here to know how to do that
    • If you have lost the confirmation email, request a new one from the seller.

Important: Send a separate request for each airport.

Processing Time

  • Transfer requests are approved manually, which may take up to 5 business days.
  • Once the transfer is complete, you will receive a confirmation email.

I actually did figure this out a while back, and have also since upgraded to the ones that now are 2024 native. Their customer service is actually quite good.

Thanks for this!

Do the 2020 versions work generally fine in 2024?

Does this also applies to the airports bought at the BMW original site?

Thanks

I decided to respond in this thread because I have just visited LEBB Bilbao for the first time in MSFS 2024. I had the BM World version installed, but I noticed that there were some terrain elevation issues (including one right across taxiway CHARLIE4 on the route to runway 10/28). Thinking that this was a conflict with a scenery package designed for MSFS 2020, I disabled it to see what the hand crafted version looked like. In short, not bad......but this version also has a couple of minor terrain elevation issues (including one on taxiway CHARLIE4, and another one on the main taxiway TANGO where CHARLIE4 joins). These were less severe than the elevation issues with the BM World version of the airport, but still annoying (particularly considering that the hand crafted version is presumably designed to work with MSFS 2024).

Personally, I think that the BM World version of the airport is better. That being the case, I wanted to see if I could get it working properly. Since the hand crafted version of the airport is used in some challenges, it is not directly accessible to be disabled from MY LIBRARY in the MS Marketplace. However, I discovered that it could be disabled by modifying the content.xml file (which I eventually found).

Having disabled the hand crafted version of the airport, I enabled the BM World version again, and checked it out. To my surprise, those terrain elevation issues have vanished. I have not completed an extensive search of the airport yet, but the issues that I identified earlier have definitely been resolved.

Miami works but really doesn't.  It has an enormous palm tree that only the 24 native edition gets rid of

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

The reason that I mention this is because the BM World version of this airport is identified as CURRENTLY INCOMPATIBLE with MSFS 2024 on the MS Marketplace. My limited investigation to date suggests otherwise.
