MSFS 2024 on Geforce NOW

Featured Replies

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but I signed in to GFN yesterday and spotted that you can play MSFS 2024 on it:

The reason I signed up in the first place is because my PC is a couple of generations old now. I do play games other than MSFS so thought GFN was a cost effective method of playing the latest and greatest without investing £5k+. My machine can run MSFS 2024 but I do have to dial it back quite a way. I loaded it up and it works surprisingly well given the game is heavy on both CPU and GPU. I was able to push the settings to the max in 4K with frame generation and it was very smooth. I say smooth as I wasn't able to verify the exact numbers as for some reason the FR (Non dev-mode counter) was showing 143-144 constantly which I don't think is accurate (more my monitors refresh rate). Didn't have time to connect up my HOTAS Warthog, pedals and everything but had a quick play with my Xbox controller instead and it works flawlessly.

I'm really very impressed and besides obviously having limitations like not being able to install mods etc, for using the standard product it's excellent. If you've got the service or are struggling with your performance on your PC (and have a decent connection), it might be worth considering.

"Geforce" as a name can be misleading, at least it was for me some time ago, but it's a smart service if your rig does not meet the min requirements to use a flightsim or demanding game 😀

Can I use GFN version with my local addons? and or do I need Xbox Subscription also?

No and no.

9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

Because my msfs2024 is the Store edition, It installs free on our Xbox series S console (you have to use the same username and email address on the console login). Booting up the console, it asks "who's watching". You need to pick the user icon that has the same email and username as you used to buy the PC Store edition of 2020 or 2024. After loggin in like that. msfs2024 will be free in the Xbox Store on the console (series S or series X).

But now is not possible to install 3rf party addon like payware aurcraft or ATC addon. Once solve also this step, that could be a very great and final solution.

The cloud services are pretty cool

How would it work if you bought an addon?  Or is that not possible?

That's the question I'd like to be answered.
