Sorry to say , but you are incorrect.

ASFS Preset weather and Passive weather depiction modes
Using Preset weather depiction from ASFS or Passive weather depiction (from MSFS live weather), a variety of weather visuals and depiction methods, offering various levels of realism, control and visual quality are available depending on your needs. Transition control and configurable smoothing is also provided in ASFS Preset mode.

That is not Local weather like the default MSFS Live engine uses. With Local Weather clouds are independent model/size/coordinate based, do the same cloud will show up on different pc’s at the same place and has the same shape.

If you use AS Passive Mode you are using the default Live Weather + AS Turbulence.

This is the live weather mode of Active Sky

Active Sky Weather Engine
24 years of active development of weather simulation for MSFS and other platforms culminates in a mature and refined weather engine system that natively includes advanced weather data analysis, lookup, mapping, planning, briefing and more.

Advanced Data Collection, Synthesis, Modeling and Interpretation
Active Sky constantly downloads and analyzes conditions, providing world-wide high-fidelity weather conditions and effects, utilizing surface airport conditions (METARs), Forecasts (TAFs), Upper air data (GRIB), Significant Weather information (Sigmets/Airmets), Tropical storm data and more. Weather data is offered in live real-time or historical modes, with a dynamic historical weather playback feature.

Ground Snow Simulation
Using actual global ground snow depth data, ground snow cover is controlled and smoothed at all times in AS Preset depiction mode.

Why do you want someone else to dislike the sim? You don't like it, that's cool. But if someone else does, why does that bother you? Maybe they like to fly where they are, and like how it looks.

You're doing exactly what YouTube influencers do: only flights at dusk, dawn, or midday, but they speed up the video speed so as not to show the disaster of being above the cloud layer. Only under the clouds is FS24 more or less decent.Take the same photos at noon with live weather and don't hesitate to go above the cloud layer.

Let people have fun.

Don’t know why you posted this.

It still is Preset based injection, so nothing sync’d across a network.

And around you the same weather.

Only MSFS Live Weather can show Local Weather.

Still no addons (except for some nice airports) here.  I mainly use my presets because I like to control the wind but when I turn on live weather it always is great.

Always the same words. Try to be inventive. On your vinyl record, you have a B-side. Don't thank me, it's a bonus.

It's crazy to believe that FS24 gives you real weather when 7 times out of 10 it's completely off and Unfortunately, I have not received any information for the remaining 3 so that you can enjoy the best moments.. You still have a profound misunderstanding of Active Sky. You simulate from time to time and it's respectable but you don't like "simulation"

Perhaps on your system Live Weather is wrong 7 out of 10 times. Here it is correct at least 4 out of 5 times..  It really has improved.

I beta tested network syncing for Damian and it would not work. Therefor I stayed with the default Live Weather as I use a multi pc view setup.

The moment AS supports Local weather I will be the first to switch to it.

Why do you say  AS does not support local weather. It does when I use it.

I will have to try MSFS live weather again, but I was not impressed when 2024 first came out.

You don't fly enough to realize it. I get up on Monday morning to go flying and finish my last flight on Sunday evening. I understand your flight profile better now and your comments are of the same level.

1. Crazy low fps in 2D as well as VR in SU3 beta at airports (like Punta Raisa, Sicily, not a big airport). (all is well in 2020). 2 Days ago it was still good.

2. "Positive": no CTD when I do not use SPAD.next (simconnect issue still?) , CTD with SPAD after minutes.

Used to use AS back in the 2020 days but I just can't deal with it's lack of depiction for distant thunderstorms, fronts etc. That's something live weather does great, and 2024 is doing good clouds - so don't see a need for it for my simming needs.

Those look so good! Looking forward to the SU3 release as I tend to avoid SU beta runs these days 😅 Dare I say it, are we closer now with the latest 2024 SU3 builds to pre-SU5 MSFS 2020 clouds depictions than ever before? (since the time SU5/SU7 regressed stuff due to METAR blending etc I mean). Combined with 2024's lighting this is looking more than fantastic.

I don't do addons so I guess I'm stuck with default weather.  lol

Can't wait for SU3.
