First because being on the beta branch I feel commited to testing as much aspects of the core sim as possible.

The latest SU3 beta releases are solving problems I had reported like the wrong settings of the Cruise altitude from imported flightplans, but also better handling of SIDs and STARs.

And at LPPT it doesn't tell me to bactrack on rw 20 for takeoff or taxi to gate like BATC does 😕

Makes sense... and that's reassuring. I guess you haven't noticed any obnoxious requests for changes in flight level?

  • Not here. Performance is better than SU2. That usually indicates overheating or some other hardware issue.    I'm on the latest one, no issues.

  • IT IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!  😤 Started a flight, butter smooth, even a lot smoother then with former versions. No stutters when looking around, 100% my max frames all the time. Then, arrival:

You are an adept user no doubt, but stutters at any point for me indicate a simple case of sim demands exceeding resource availability at the expected FPS cadence.  Ie frame times suffer when your har

Not yet, but if I come accross such weirdinesses I will let you know 👍

I'd like to know an estimation of howw many issues are core and how many are caused by addons for various reasons.

My estimation is 5050.

Thanks

your opinion will be interesting once you start your approach.

Landed - after having paused for some hours at TOD due to other duties - and all fine, very smooth. Yes, LGRP is for sure not ini EGLL but will do return flight tomorrow and see what awaits me then

Yes, had a similar experience: landed, all the normal stuttering, then I had to pause for half an hour.
Afterwards all stutters have been gone and I had an absolute fluid sim

I've found that departing from inibuilds EGLL is ok for me. It's when you arrive, the performance seems bad.

I have the same issue with the Gaya default EGLL as well, so it's not a critisism of inibuilds.

I'm talking in relation to using the Fenix A320 as my test bed with FSLTL traffic at 40% of max settings

All settings Ultra except:

Texture res High

Fauna off

Traffic quality off

Airtraffic off

Ships and Cars High

just landed. basically fine. no stutter fest at all. yes, fps went down a bit from my 40fps limit I set but I could land perfectly fine. just preparing turnaround now into EBBR

I never "suffer" from FPS drops - mine are fixed at 30 FPS, and with my General settings, FS 2024 stays there all of the time... I'm using TAA.

I also "opted out" of Photogrammetry.

also TAA here and never PG though always live weather and live traffic, ini EGLL is fore sure demanding and I may turn down some further EGLL setting, guess I already opted for the low(er) quality textures though. yet, to make this clear, NO STUTTERS here so basically all fine. once landed at EBBR I will schedule my flight back to EGLL using ini 350 with the new HUD, that'll be the ultimate check ride 😉

forgot to mention, all fine. fps went down but no stutters. I also just did EGLL KBOS, both ini, in the equally ini 350 and at KBOS performance was better than EGLL, very smooth and no noticeable fps decrease at all. so by any means, I cannot see a reason to blame SU3b. but as usual YMMV
