Sim Update 3 Beta (1.5.16.0) Release Notes - July 11th, 2025

Featured Replies

My only "problem" so far has been the fact that the iFly 737 MAX appears to cause my FS 2024 not to start.

If I uninstall and completely wipe any remnants of the iFly 737 MAX, after trying to start a session with that aircraft, FS 2024 enters the "dreadful" 97% loading never ends cycle on start 😕

I had been able to use it until the first 1.5.13.0 if my memmory doesn't fail.

  • Not here. Performance is better than SU2. That usually indicates overheating or some other hardware issue.    I'm on the latest one, no issues.

  • IT IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!  😤 Started a flight, butter smooth, even a lot smoother then with former versions. No stutters when looking around, 100% my max frames all the time. Then, arrival:

I bought through marketplace, some scenery that I expected to work ok in 2024 since I was buying it from that platform. FSIMSTUDIO - CYYC works great in 2020 but is a stutter-fest in 2024. Does not Aboso check these things out in 2024 before taking our moneys? without a means for refund?

That usually means its close to release.

Just a quick read through this forum would suggest that shouldn't be the case.

Maybe so?  (shrugs)

nothing really to add except that I just updated to 1.5.16 and all fine. so rather throwing in some positive feedback as forums are usually to vent and get help when needed. just started the fenix 320 at EGLL, now enroute to LGRP and all smooth. yes, there was some hickup during takeoff run but neglectable for me. lots of traffic, nice live weather with a level of haze/thin clouds I just passed through and still perfectly fine for me

This is no longer a problem!

Today I loaded FS 2024, after reinstalling the iFly 737 MAX and pushing the latest update 1.0.4.2, and all was fine(*), flights started without quirks and actually had a really nice series of circuits around LPFR!

1.5.16.0 looks very smooth and clean!

After a few sessions with BATC I am getting back to default ATC and AI Traffic. I leave BATC for a while now, and FSLTL is also installed, but I'm good even with the default AI models.

Overall and for line flights, default ATC is rather acceptable.

I'm glad I joined this Beta !!! 🤩

(*) But I had done the same yesterday and the day before and ir didn't work...

your opinion will be interesting once you start your approach.

Had a similar opinion when I first started .16, but at approach it was stutterfest again with no recovery.
So, no fix at that end, at least not for me.

Oh yeah, those famous friday builds...first simconnect, right now a also showstopping mainthread bug.

I REALLY have to thank MS for lowering my energy bills significantly in 2025 - flightsim rig barely running these days 🙄

You are an adept user no doubt, but stutters at any point for me indicate a simple case of sim demands exceeding resource availability at the expected FPS cadence.  Ie frame times suffer when your hardware can't keep up.  I'm sure you've tested at multiple stepped down settings points to eliminate hardware limitations from stutter equations? 🤭

Yes, you can be sure!

have a look here, what my problem is

And I'm not alone according to official forums.
my settings are somewhat low meanwhile ... with a 4080 super!
(VFR with small GA planes is no problem. But anything bigger at a bigger airport and coming down from a higher altitude seems to make sth stuck in the sim . for my opinion)

Dynamic Settings = ON eliminates all stuttering stuations for me even at the worst airport, KSFO.

No downsides I can see at LOD 150.

Also the low resource message goes away and runways arn't blurry on landing.

Are you using autofps app?

I’m interested in your decision to switch to default ATC from BATC? Whats behind that? And does default ATC still call for some unrealistic flight level changes?

First because being on the beta branch I feel commited to testing as much aspects of the core sim as possible.

The latest SU3 beta releases are solving problems I had reported like the wrong settings of the Cruise altitude from imported flightplans, but also better handling of SIDs and STARs.

And at LPPT it doesn't tell me to bactrack on rw 20 for takeoff or taxi to gate like BATC does 😕
