Hi Ray, thanks for the question..So far I have only played with the VC and admired the visual work they have done. hope this August I will find the time during my vacation weeks to properly dive into it. It seems like a hard project to master, but I have to do it..it's a pity to sit on my disk so long. I used to have them for fsx but at the A2A sales last week I purchased for p3d the Connie, the cherokee, the bonanza and took the free p40 as well. (I already have the t6 and p51 civ for p3d) After a week using fsuipc and mouse macros to set up all the hardware controls with my Bravo ive been loving the classics again. The Connie is enough work I don't care about occasionally dodgy scenery. By choosing orbx true earth areas the combo of aircraft and scenery with smooth frame rate is actually the best I've ever experienced. Taking over the controls manually is just so much more satisfying in p3d. You know, the actual flying part. It's unbelievable to me that in 5 years A2a only have 1 plane out for msfs and 1 for the new sim when in the decade before there is a whole fleet of fantastic flying machines. That still fly as well as they used to. I agree! A2A made so much work on these planes, both systems and visual wise that it is a pity to not enjoy them anymore and waiting for each one to be released for MSFS if ever... Yes, shaders and lighting and models are better in P3D but a system/realism geek like most of us are is finding enough visual fidelity and much more system realism to keep us satisfied. Ah so you’ve yet to try a flight. It’s a steep learning curve as so much is controlled by scripts leaving you with less to do. That probably sounds odd but once you start the tutorial you’ll understand. That is mandatory to fully understand the changes from the old 32-bit version. They are significant. Good luck. August 7, 2025Aug 7 Yup, the older sims still hit strong and hard. Their near bug-free tenure and fully fleshed out addons and features are like cold water in the broken FS2024 desert.

I bought it a few weeks ago when the windows update messed up the panning with Chase Plane and was really impressed once I learned my way around. But after a while things go south . The hat switch stops working along with other issues. After this happening more then once I just went back to CP. I actually prefer Ezdok but it just seems too temperamental. Vic green

Give me stability over looks every day of the week. I’ve seen MSFS plenty of times but have never been tempted to buy it. Most of my flights are IFR at FL300 or higher. At that altitude I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to see any significant difference with ANY other sim. Ray (Cheshire, England). Just for clarity: Windows 11 24H2 version introduced some issues that affected several addons, including all the TDS birds and the Aerosoft buses. When my computer updated to 24H2 and I couldn't find a way back to 23H2, I had to spend almost two weeks reformatting and setting up everything again to my liking in 23H2. I'm not sure there is a fix for 24H2, but after reformat, I didn't look for one. I simply spent my time preventing my rigs from updating to 24H2. Unless there's now a fix available, 24H2 is the version of Windows 11 you want to stay away from. Confirmed RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 when trying to use the AS330 in P3DV5 ... it's the ONLY aircraft that is exhibiting this behavior under Win11 24H2. Disabled RAAS to see if that was the issue, sadly nope, still same CTD error. FYI, this is on a clean P3D V5 install, no other add-ons.
