Why are my controller settings not saved for my plane

Featured Replies

I set up my controllers for the Black Square B60 Duke. For this plane I have set the TM Hotas Warthog throttle with a profile called two engine prop and then escape and save.

Should not that profile for the specific plane be stored between sessions ? Instead every time I load the Duke its TM throttle controller is set to another profile called My general plane profile. So I must go to settings and controllers and manually change the TM Throttle to the desired two engine prop profile. After esc and save it is only for the current session. Why ?

This video will help but we need to wait until SU3.

P3D has had this feature for years.

Known bug in SU2.  My Thrustmaster profiles for all my aircraft specific settings got wiped out yesterday … fortunately I keep a screenshot of the settings so I can recreate … but annoying none the less.

and then escape and save.

I don't have access to the sim atm and can't be 100% sure of the screen layout but why are you pressing escape? Try just clicking on the onscreen buttons at the bottom left of the screen when you are finished. I wonder whether by pressing escape instead you are missing a save step.

Because it is needed to leave the settings page. What button at the bottom left ?

No there is a safe and back button down the left.  Try alt enter for maximal screen. Sometimes it vanishes

Not at my computer so it might not be 100% correct in term of the name for it

Come to think of it . Are you using the controls icon from within the toolbar in the Cockpit? I recall and noticed there is no save option from VC.

Yes I saw the button called escape which can be clicked but also press the escape button both with same function

What sick mind has invented this method? Individual saving? Gimme a break!

Works here though not intuitive per se.  The key is to...

  1. Select the controller
  2. Create a new Specific profile
  3. Go to that controller's settings and select Hardware and do your adjustments.             I assume you're doing all this.
  4. The last step is to Assign that profile's settings and choose Apply To...

At least that is what works here.  Good luck!

Addendum:  I realized after I started this practice...I haven't changed planes so not sure this did work!  Will look a little later...

Regarding 4 I only see an option to apply to all aircraft. But that is not what I want
