August 29, 2025Aug 29 Speaking of learning curves, most of mine used to be gentle slopes. Now, at my advanced age, they're almost vertical. LOL! Pete Locascio Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, Nvidia RTX 5090, Samsung 9100 Pro 2&4 TB Drives, 64 GB RAM, Asus Z-890 motherboard.
September 1, 2025Sep 1 Actually, I have no urge, or interest in re-installing MSFS anymore. I guess I've just lost interest. It's just not for me. I have many more options with P3D.( carrier landings, air to air refueling, Fighter jets that can carry weapon stations and fire them!) Orbx, Fly Tampa, Rex Sky Force, Tac Pack, FS Dream Team, and many aircraft. Is it just me?? At least not only you: for Boeing and McDonnell-Douglas airliners at least, I've noticed I have more aircraft for P3D than for MSFS. For Airbus, well, that's another story. I know there is more than these 3 makers. For scenery, stuff like OrbX etc... are just on par if not better in MSFS. I have yet to see a scenery that looks better in P3D than it does in MSFS, in fact. And when it comes to aerial refuelling, P3D doesn't even come close to MSFS. It's quite sad, given the military background of P3D...

And the Alpha is now available for free 😁 Also still fab is the VRS SuperBug 😎👍

Mike Yep, the stuff I fly doesn't exist in other sims, including later P3D versions, and I don't need a super duper system to run it.

Yes, the visuals are highly impressive and if I flew low-level VFR it would probably have been bought. But I'm a IFR fan and when you're at FL300-600 in anything from a humble 737 up to Concorde it offers no advantages. In fact it has multiple disadvantages because I would have no accurate Concorde to fly and the PMDG aircraft would behave pretty much the same. I'd lose ADE for editing AFCADs, Aivlasoft EFB if I went with 2024 and other addons I can't recall. I'm currently enroute from Le Raizet to MIami in Concorde. 1,245nm and the flight will take around 1h 20m. 😁 So no, it's not just you. Ray (Cheshire, England). September 13, 2025Sep 13 Author For me i am using a de havilland dove model for my sim that just doesnt exist on the other platsforms. Also recalibrating all my (real) instruments is going to be a nightmare . So also a V7 that is very different to V6 and earlier for me is not an option if it is not backwards compatible. I would really like another update of V6 . I do enjoy V6 to be honest and think it is better than v5 .
