Just wondering why there have been no more updates for V6?

1. Security issue?

2. They have given up on it?

3. There will be a last update just before V7 is released ? ( just like with V5)

 

I have no idea just wondering......

I've seen but one update early on.

Nobody who knows is willing to spill the beans (NDA!), so its all speculation.  But if we get a v7 youtube trailer as laughable as the v6 one im moving on to Xplane!

My guess would be this. Just my guess.

Gamers wait years for the next version of the AAA game. V6 came out in 2023 that other sim four years and a new version.

Think they did about three updates quite quickly after release and then nothing anymore. Wonder if they closed all "ports" due to all the hacking going on ini the world... i can fully understand that !

They no longer have tens of thousands "beta testers" who paid for the privilege.  They sure fixed a lot more when they had tons of eyes on the product.

I'm starting to feel the same way.  I've got a lot of time and money invested in P3D, but if v7 turns out to be just a small, incremental improvement like v5->v6, then I may make the switch to Xplane as well.

After years of using P3D i have decided not to wait for 'possible' v7, and i have moved to XP - now i can fly my beloved Tu154, and i am quite happy with the sim, although it is far from perfect.

Right now i use xp12, msfs2020 and to a much lesser extent msfs2024 as i do not like the key assignment procedure. I have V6 but use it little due to the selection of add-ons.

If P3dV7 arrives with good improvements and it is backwards compatible with my add-ons i will buy it.

I have p3d v5.4. Everything is running really smoothly. Alot of ad ons. Orbx, Fly Tampa, Rex Sky Force, Tac Pack, FS Dream Team, and many aircraft. I never moved up to v6. Am I really missing much?? I'm just worried about losing some of my ad ons, due to compatability issues.

Indeed, I have v6, but 5.4 is my stable go-to platform.

Months ago I tried XPLANE 12, but honestly the learning curve changes from P3D controls, etc was too steep for my 84 year old brain..🤨
