@everyone

Aviators of Distinguished Bearing,

We are pleased to bring you version 1.3.6 of the FlightFX Cessna Citation X. This update is packed with refinements across visuals, handling, performance, and avionics, along with enhancements to V.A.M.S. 2.0. Many of these improvements come directly from community feedback, and we appreciate your continued support as we work to deliver the most authentic experience possible.

Expect the update across both platforms some time around 10AM PT.

• Improved exterior lighting effects
• Corrected exterior light intensities, positions, and rotations
• Strobe and beacon lights are now LED style on winglets version

• Changed beacon location to the top of the tail
• Fixed gap near left FMS
• Fixed an issue where landing light switches activated the opposite light
• Corrected the landing lights effects
• Corrected orientation of nav and strobe lights on non-winglet version

FADEC & Performance
• Corrected FADEC data to provide more thrust at lower altitudes in cruise mode
• Corrected erroneous fuel flow data above 43,000 feet under high ISA conditions
• Removed erroneous data point that caused a jump in CRU detent rating when passing 8,000 feet

Flight Dynamics & Handling
• Improved momentum response on roll
• Revamped ground handling:
  ○ Reduced tiller responsiveness speed
  ○ Revised yaw inertia on the ground
  ○ Added option to separate rudder and tiller axis

Thrust Reverser System
• Fixed thrust reverser STOW switch; now properly stows reverser buckets
• Fixed an issue where reverser animations would sometimes activate in flight
• Improve thrust reverser logic
  ○ Buckets now deploy immediately upon activation
  ○ Negative thrust is applied as soon as the reverse lever is active
  ○ N1 now ramps in response to throttle position (previously On/Off)
• Tuned Autothrottle response
• Reduced Autothrottle thrust reduction speed when capturing altitude from flight level changes

Systems & Avionics
• Autopilot manual disengagement now functions correctly
• Fixed spelling error: "AILERON"
• Added support for 8.33 kHz spacing
• Vertical Situation Display (VSD): Fixed PTH deviation indicator

• Fixed units not saving
• Adjusted center wing fuel transfer logic
• Switched flap actuation from hydraulic to electric logic
• Fixed spoilers response to hydraulic logic
• Added error messaging for failed SimBrief route imports
• Fixed an issue where vspeeds were not calculated when the destination airport was too close to the departure/current location
• Fixed an issue causing managed speed to capture a waypoint speed immediately on direct to
• Fixed an issue where flight plan sequencing would not work on flight restart or sometimes on flight start on slower machines
• Fixed TOD points showing when they are not supposed to
• Decreased APU starter amperage, was too exaggerated and causes batteries to die if external hardware spams APU STARTER (will still drain the batteries if spammed, but will take longer)

V.A.M.S 2.0
• "Ready to Start" panel state now properly removes chocks
• Removed external OpenStreetMap leaflet link
• Fixed an issue where the tablet could get stuck outside the aircraft when using third-party camera software
• Added an option to enable 8.33 kHz spacing in V.A.M.S
• Added EFB options for Tiller smoothing and Tiller rate

  • Wow. Again. This is about the FlightFX X update and it dove into a bunch of other topics.  The 750 is not "study" level yet as some have complained but we knew this before buying it. Even though

  • I have to agree that this is one of the most hidden treasures developed for flight sim world. I can't get enough of flying this jet. It has immersive systems and a blast to fly. Don't pass this opport

So let me get this straight…? I'm stupid because I know a mid-tier addon when I see one, but you’re the one who bought it without first ensuring it meets your needs…?  Lol - okay, pal 😂

That's disappointing.

The best business jet to hit MSFS since it's release may have gotten better.  Awaiting feedback before I upgrade.  I love so much about this initial release I'm backing it up just in case the update doesn't live up to the original vision.🤞

I don't think they broke anything, if that's what you are afraid of. It flies like it did before the update. They added a working tiller and fixed some bugs.

State saving still doesn't work properly in 2024, but going by your signature you are using 2020 so you are probably ok.

Can you disable the 'Lite Texture' version? I really don't want two versions of the same aircraft in my Library.

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

and also what have they done with the tiller?? if I assign the nosewheel steering axis to one of my joysticks the plane just wobbles on take off and on landing...if I dont have NWS assigned it still bloody wobbles so either way its not a good experience....advice appreciated ...thanks.

You know..........Im so trying to get into this plane but I've been flying the Challenger in XP12 for so long.....Im finding it very very hard......its no were near in the same league....no were near.....but its very good.......or it was!

A long list oif items in the update to an already very solid initial release. Congrats to FlightFX for its excellent rendition of the Citation X.

Cheers, Ed

I saw on the discord that others were complaining about this. I just selected "Separate Tiller Axis" in the EFB and assigned rudder and tiller axes as described on p. 29 in the manual. I didn't have to fiddle with rotation rate or smoothing.

I don't think they are trying to compete with a $125 "study-level" addon. It does have some bugs and limitations, but for a $30 plane, I think it is very good. I've enjoyed it.

It doesn't even match the capabilities of default WT planes though, avionics-wise. And that $30 price tag is thanks to MS subsidizing their marketing costs and promoting for them. All in all, I don't think FFX is my cup of tea. I was hoping for PMDG-tier for bizjets, instead we get Carenado+.

That's a good description. I think the devs (or maybe just their boss) would agree that's what they were aiming for.

I have not idea whether or not they get subsidies from MS, I just think I got a good deal at $30. Personally, I wouldn't have bought it if it had the G5000 avionics. I like the older avionics, even if they are not fully simulated.

The avionics are very simple, I would say 1/4 of the actual real world capability. Which I guess is good but the WT functionality is much much higher. Hopefully FFX improves it, but a clue such as lack of missed approach support even after update 1 makes me lose confidence that they will be in a hurry to add anything any time soon.
