October 14, 2025Oct 14 As the title suggests, looking to pick up an Austin for the upcoming F1 race and it looks like there is a Feelthere and then a DominicDesign and in total transparency, not familiar with the latter at all and have the proper expectations with the first one... Anyone that can speak from experience with one, either or both that they can share? I am leaning towards the Dominic Design at least from screenshots it looks to be the better of the two... Appreciate the input and feedback Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
October 14, 2025Oct 14 I am happy with the dominicdesign version, but can't comment on the other. Dominicdesignteam stuff can be a bit heavier on resources in my experience though (but my system is strong enough to cope). October 14, 2025Oct 14 I have the DD version and it is very nicely done IMO. FeelThere airports are always very bland to me and I have replaced them with better alternatives when available.... October 14, 2025Oct 14 I don't have any suggestions, but good to hear from you Paul. Hopefully you are doing well and keeping yourself covered in Bubble Wrap as prescribed. I'm sure you are enjoying this years F1 session. IMHO, one the most competitive in over a decade. Sorry to be off topic. Tom MAKA = Make America Kind Again
October 14, 2025Oct 14 Author Hmm, not sure why my question on which MSFS scenery to choose for an airport was moved to hangar chat... Seems pretty MSFS specific and not going to get much visibility here in Hangar chat. Any chance it can be moved back to the MSFS forums please it is a clear MSFS query... Just reported my own post to ask to have it moved back LOL. Thanks to all that responded, I am thinking the DD as well. Using lossless scaling so performance isn't a concern and agree that the FT seem a bit bland, that's a great description and exactly what I see in the screenshots. Both look to be both MSFS20 and 24 compatible. Hey Tom! Good to hear from you. Been a brutal ride, actually broke the spine in 2 places and had to have cement put in but I am still getting by and working towards getting back on track. Agreed, been a fun F1 season, great to see the Rookies and an actual title fight even if it is probably all Papaya LOL... Edited October 14, 2025Oct 14 by psolk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

October 14, 2025Oct 14 Author Thank you Moderators! Next question! With all the MSFS SU updates is Samscene necessary for Austin? I still use it in NY and it doesn't seem to hurt anything... I think it was only $6 or something extremely reasonable like that... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

October 14, 2025Oct 14 Never Feelthere. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Seems pretty MSFS specific In fairness to the moderator that moved it, your original post - although posted in the MSFS section - did not contain any reference to MSFS, neither was it tagged MSFS2020 and/or MSFS2024 😉 But good that it was moved back pretty quickly. You can only put so much in the thread title and it's not too hard to read THIS Quote As the title suggests, looking to pick up an Austin for the upcoming F1 race and it looks like there is a Feelthere and then a DominicDesign as the first line which is pretty clear I'm asking which scenery to procure... So for those who still can't figure it out, Which Austin scenery should I choose between Feelthere and DominicDesign Sorry if I forced you to read the first sentence because it's really not "that" hard to figure it out if you even hover over the post and take the time to read just the first sentence but thank you for your contribution as always. Thanks Ron, Was just about to report back that I went with DomenicDesign as well and combined with Samscene it made a great approach on the 18's... Excited to make the 18L departure back to KEWR to overfly COTA. Thanks everyone! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
