October 29, 2025Oct 29 Why do folks keep buying Carenado's rubbish planes? Carenado should, instead, repair their busted airplanes in MSFS 2024.
October 29, 2025Oct 29 >Why do folks keep buying Carenado's rubbish planes? For the same reason people still buy ford Focus and Kia Sorentos when there are much better quality and more comfortable Lexus and Mercedes products available. Each serves a different market, with features and function being driven by price. Not every one has the need, or the ability to pay for the best, when a lower cost alternative will do fine while meeting all of their needs. Kerry W. This is a fair take. my perspective is that something like the Piaggio, Citation X, or (former payware) Cirrus Jet on sale are a lot better value than the Carenados. and I say that as a guy who has a bunch of Carenados from older sims. After all, they’ve made a series of genuinely interesting aircraft! the problem is they leave too many glaring bugs that aren’t fixed, and I’m just not willing to continue to patronize them. and to be very clear, I’m not talking about Fidelity/Complexity (a la the expensive Black Square), I’m talking about Features Carenado themselves chose to include which just don’t work reliably.

What's more accurate is we have many Airliners to choose from not Bizjets in the medium and long range class. I personally would want the Premier as I loved in FS9. Carenado is my only option for that jet. I personally would want the Premier as I loved in FS9. Carenado is my only option for that jet. Our perspectives are not so far apart as it may seem. 🤙 But mine has drifted a bit more to wanting a baseline level of value before spending $ solely based on variety. for eg: the IRL Citation X has a very strong reputation for speed & range. Even if it’s subsequently been eclipsed by more modern biz jets. wheres, afaik, the Premier is a rather unremarkable light jet. Not big, not fast, not long range, not even good at short field ops. i don’t mean to put it down, just that it’s like a Honda Accord - good, but nothing special. I mean, if the Premier is $15-$20 like some of their other addons, sure that’s notably inexpensive, and perhaps worth it. But I think it’s gonna be more like $25-$30. and at THAT price, it’s too expensive vs the competition (IMHO). now, if it was a Gulfstream 500/600 (or even IV/V)…? Yeah, then the IRL aircraft has enough going for it to be a purchase. anyhow, man, if the Premier will make you happy, I WANT you to be happy, so go for it. 😁🤙

I agree with you on your points concerning the real-world aircraft. Gulfstream has been anal for years about their birds being brought to FS, very sad to say the least. That being said, there's absolutely no excuse concerning something like the Global Express. It's never been done to any meaningful detail in any version of FS going back to when the real-world model first took flight. How can developers do countless CRJ's over the years and not the company's business jet. Bombardier is not hostile to FS, there's a market for the bird in the sim world, and developers can get access to it especially Aerosoft who has relationship with the company. Everyone wants to do these lite and/or short-range jets which is really getting tiring. I was happy to see the CitationX in MSFS which brought another Longitude (mid-range) class to the sim (with an interactive cabin which Asobo refuses to do in 2020).😵💫 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
